Macy is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Frank Gallagher on Shameless.
I am thrilled and a bit shocked to be nominated. And when I look at the other nominations I’m humbled. But I’ve always felt that liver failure brought on by acute alcoholism could be really, really funny.
Inducted into Hollywood Walk of Fame
Macy is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Motion Pictures. In a rare double ceremony, his wife, actress Felicity Huffman is also inducted into the Walk of Fame. Celebrating with them are friends Marcia Cross and Vanessa Williams. During his induction speech, Macy tells the audience how he met his wife:
First time I saw Felicity, she was at an acting class. She was wearing a silk, cream-colored blouse with no bra, and I thought, ‘Man, this girl can act.’
