IBM MobileFirst for iOS

Apple and IBM announce that they plan to work together to create iPads and iPhones optimized for business use. The project is called IBM MobileFirst for iOS. They plan to include over 100 industry-specific applications on the devices, which can take advantage of IBM’s ability to handle large amounts of data stored on the cloud. Ginni Rometty, IBM’s CEO, says:

This alliance with Apple will build on our momentum in bringing these innovations to our clients globally, and leverages IBM’s leadership in analytics, cloud, software and services.
