Anna Todd’s After series

25 year old Texas college student, Anna Todd, publishes the first chapter to the After series. She uses Wattpad, a storytelling app that gives updates to subscribers when new chapters are added. Thirteen seconds after the first chapter uploads, it receives a comment. The next day, it receives 10,000 comments. The story follows a young woman named Tessa and her encounters with Harry and the other One Direction band members. About her writing, Todd comments:

Just write what comes to you…I barely ever reread the chapter before posting because I over think things and I feel like over-editing or trying to use too many words can ruin the story.
