American Horror Story: Asylum
Levine stars as a recurring character in the television show American Horror Story: Asylum. Levine plays Leo, who is married to Teresa, played by Jenna Dewan-Tatum. The couple is on their honeymoon traveling to different haunted locations and could potentially get stuck in the asylum.
Strangely enough, I’m not uncomfortable doing things like that (racy scenes with Jenna). Jenna’s a professional and she’s amazing, and we have a lot of fun. We were laughing and joking the whole time.
One More Night
Maroon 5 releases the single, One More Night, from their album, Overexposed. Adam Levine:

Overexposed is definitely one of our most diverse and poppiest albums yet. We had a great time recording it. I can’t wait for our fans to hear the record, as well as hitting the road to play it live for everyone later this year.
222 Records
Levine starts his own record label titled 222 Records. Levine created the record label to sign his first artists Rozzie Crane who is a USC music student and Glee star Matthew Morrison.
Starting my own label has been a long time goal of mine and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening. I am excited for everyone to hear Matthew’s forthcoming album. Great things are in store for him with this release.

I was very skeptical, kind of about doing it because I wasn’t sure what the perception would be. I wasn’t sure if there would be any chemistry at all between us on the show, the people on the show. I wasn’t totally sure about anything, but I am a fan of taking risks.
The Voice
Levine joins the mentor panel of the singing competition show The Voice. Levine competes against his fellow panelists Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green for contestant members to be on “Team Adam.” Levine will coach his team during the show to hopefully have one of his team members win The Voice. NBC says:

Maroon 5 releases the single, Misery, from their album, Hands All Over. Adam Levine:
Misery’ is about the desperation of wanting someone really badly in your life but having it be very difficult. Kind of what all the songs I write are about. I’m not treading on new ground, but I think a lot of people – including myself – deal with that all the time. Relationships are difficult, and it’s good therapy to write about them.

Maroon 5 releases the single, Makes Me Wonder, from their album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long. Levine says that he wrote this song about his feelings about the state of politics and the US role in the war in Iraq:
There is so much going on in America at the moment. I hope we (the US) can dig ourselves out of this hole. There’s a bunch of confusion going on in the world.

Adam Noah Levine is born in Los Angeles, California to parents Fred, the founder of the retail chain M. Fredric, and Patsy Levine, an admissions counselor. Levine has two brothers Michael and Sam. Levine’s parents divorce when he is 7-years-old and he attended therapy although he did not enjoy it.
They couldn’t accept the fact that I might have been OK with it. I cried my eyes out and kicked and screamed and said, ‘Why?’ and all the things you do when you find out. A few days later I was fine but I still had to go to therapy. It was such a waste of time.
