DC101 interview

I see so much potential in people who haven’t particularly gotten that opportunity yet, like Emma and Summer and even Lana. I think they are interesting characters and women who have a lot of potential and I would love to something that’s vastly different with one of those girls. Signs WWE contract
Lee signs her first contract with World Wrestling Entertainment after paying $1,500 to participate in a tryout and begins working in the company’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.
I began saving my money. I just thought, whether I get signed or not, they just need to see me. Fate must have taken over, because I was so skinny and didn’t know how to do my hair and makeup. I was just a blank canvas, and they took a chance on me.

Begins wrestling training
Lee drops out of college due to financial issues. She begins working full-time to afford wrestling training and trains under the tutelage of Jay Lethal.
I ran into financial problems and couldn’t afford (school) anymore, so I dropped out. I’ve always wanted to entertain people, and when I was in school I was interested in creative writing, but wrestling was always there. When I ran into financial problems I just figured when life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade.

Lee is born in Union City, NJ as the youngest of three siblings. Lee spends many years in motel rooms with her poor family. Her interest in wrestling develops at a young age due to her brother being a fan of WWE.
