Wrongful death suit
Brown’s estate files a $10 million suit against Gordon, alleging wrongful death. The lawsuit alleges Gordon, who shared a townhome with Brown in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell, beat her after an argument on the morning of January 31, then gave her a “toxic cocktail” to knock her out, and then placed her face-down in a bathtub of cold water, causing her to suffer brain damage. The suit also claims Gordon controlled Brown’s interactions, installed cameras in the home to watch her, manipulated her bank accounts, and physically abused her.
According to the suit, at about 6 a.m. on January 31, Gordon returned from an all-night “cocaine and drinking binge”. He reviewed surveillance camera footage and listened to Brown’s conversations, which led to a 30-minute argument that ended upstairs in the master bedroom.
Upon information and belief, Defendant gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage
The suit says Gordon then got in bed with a female guest. About 15 minutes later, someone in the townhome went to check on Brown and found her face down in the bathtub, unresponsive and unconscious, her mouth swollen and a tooth hanging loosely from her mouth.
When the Defendant came into the master bedroom, the very first thing Defendant did was let the cold water out of the bathtub and later shouted, ‘Clean up, clean up.’ Others began mouth to mouth resuscitation to no avail. Defendant then began to slap her saying, ‘wake up,’ and also started performing CPR between slaps.
Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it’s shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.
The fued between family members on Bobbi Kristina’s mother’s and father’s sides continues during the funeral when her father’s sister leaves the service to talk with reporters. She says she is angry because Houston’s sister in law is speaking at the funeral.
It went wonderful until Pat started speaking, and I didn’t like that. I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave. [This dispute] is going to be a long, drawn-out thing. Trust me. It’s not over.
Bobbi Kristina Brown is remembered in a private service. Her body is brought to the church three hours before the service to avoid paparazzi and onlookers. Four unidentified men act as pallbearers carrying her coffin into the church. Security is heavy at the church and escorting family to the church. Although private, dozens of cars arrive at the church with mourners who attend the memorial service. Almost 100 media and dozens of onlookers stand behind a police barracade waiting for the mourners to exit the church.
Mother: Gordon ‘devastated’
Gordon’s mother speaks on behalf of her son:
The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.
‘She was an angel’
Brown releases a statement following Bobbi Kristina’s death:
Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl.
To be buried alongside mother
A family source says Kristina’s funeral service this week in Atlanta, Ga., her body will be flown to New Jersey where she will be buried alongside her mother in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.
Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will hold an autopsy to evaluate Brown’s death. No date has been released, but said additional lab testing might take several weeks. Medical Examiner:
The Roswell Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances preceding and surrounding the time of the original incident leading to her death. Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging. However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.
‘She was a good girl’
Warwick pays tribute to Brown on Watch What Happens Live:
She was a sweetheart, she will be missed — she was a good girl. It’s not easy. It’s [manageable] because of our faith that Bobbi is with a much bigger and more powerful person, or thing, that she’s in much better hands now.

They too confirmed what Atlanta doctors had been saying that there was no hope. That’s when she was taken off all meds and any artificial means of support. It seems that he [Bobby Brown] had to get a certain amount of confirmation before really letting go. That trip is what convinced him to allow them to take her off her meds and to ‘go naturally
She barely has any signs of life, hardly any vitals. Security has been beefed up and even local law enforcement have been called because the families have been told that death is now imminent and they want to make sure that photographers don’t get pictures of her body being removed.
The Houston family is now says Bobbi Kristina is off life support, and breathing without the assistance of a ventilator, but they continue to maintain there’s no real hope for recovery.
According to the doctors she’s breathing on her own but the trach has to stay. Global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.
Irreversible brain damage
Houston issues a statement saying that Brown’s prognosis is unclear.
While she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive…Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time.
Moved to rehab
Brown, is being moved from Emory University Hospital to an undisclosed rehabilitation facility in Georgia. Although she remains in a medically induced coma and is dependent on a ventilator to breathe, Brown’s family remains hopeful she’ll recover, and have asked the public to keep her in their prayers. Family:
Though it seems the odds are against her, though Doctors don’t see any hope for change, though it looks like it’s impossible for her to ever stand again, still pray for BK [Bobbi Kristina].
Dr. Phil breakdown
During an interview with Dr. Phil, Gordon has an on-air breakdown, admits to drug use, and says he cannot cope with Houston’s death and the possible loss of long-time girlfriend, Brown. Gordon’s mother:
As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance. When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, ‘Mom, why couldn’t I do it? I couldn’t get air into her lungs. He won’t let go of the guilt.

This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she’d turned the corner. We were so optimistic. Bobby is taking this so hard; he was sure this was going to be a good day.
Gordon tweets his regret at not finding Bobbi Kristina earlier as a response to Bobby Brown’s lawyer’s assertion that Gordon is withholding evidence from the investigation.
My only regret is not getting to @REALbkBrown faster to give CPR

Says he can save her life
Gordon says if the hospital would allow him in to see Brown, he can save her life with his presence. Despite begging to see Brown, Gordon is currently banned from the hospital room since there is an ongoing investigation to find out what happened to Brown. He has also been threatened by family members.
On drugs when found
A source says Brown was high on drugs the day she was found. The source says Brown is hooked on heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, and drinks a lot. Brown has been in and out of rehab for the past three years. She has been very distraught over her mother’s death, the source adds.
How thin she had gotten is an indicator. This girl was trying hard, but she didn’t have any support system. She was still dealing with a lot of grief over her mother.
