Blown Away
The artist releases her video of the single from the album which shares the same name. Underwood knew in the beginning how she wanted the video portrayed:
When I first heard the song, I just had visions of what I wanted it to be like. And I really wanted it to be a dark Wizard of Oz in 2012 kind of thing.
See You Again
Underwood releases the official video for the single from her album, Blown Away. The song first debuted on American Idol earlier this month.
See You Again was actually written for Chronicles of Narnia. When they asked me if I would be interested in writing for the movie, I got a couple of writer friends together, Hillary Lindsey and David Hodges. And we just wanted to see what we could come up with. It could have been something awesome, or it could have been nothing. We wrote three amazing songs in those four days that we spent writing.
Two Black Cadillacs
Underwood debuts her music video, Two Black Cadillacs. The artist uses the Stephen King classic, Christine as an inspiration for her new video:
I really don’t know why I’ve always loved horror movies, but I know why I’ve always loved Stephen King. My mom was such a huge fan. I guarantee you she’s read everything he’s ever written. I would borrow her books and read her books. This is great reading material for, like, you know, a grade-school-er, right?
Good Girl

We went into the writing session thinking we need to write something that just kicks butt, and Chris DeStefano, I call him a little mad scientist on all of his Pro Tools stuff — he, like, plays every instrument you could possibly think of, and he, like, started makin’ this track, and we started…we just went. It was fast. We wrote it fast, and it’s just fun! It’s upbeat, it’s fun, you stomp your feet, and you can dance to it. It’s got this really rockin’ verse, and this really, like, rockin’ country chorus. So, it’s just a really cool song
Remind Me
The artist releases his single, Remind Me, featuring vocals from Underwood, from his album, This Is Country Music. Paisley says that Underwood was his first choice to record the duet with:
I think we’ve become really close, having toured together and become friends and co-hosting the CMAs for several years. We just get along great and sing great together. She’s probably pretty much my first choice to sing with when it comes to a duet with a woman like that. I mean, we just sort of share the same values and get along that well. And also, I just don’t think there’s a better singer than her, so it’s sort of selfish to be able to sing with her and perform. Every take sounded like that [the final recording]

Temporary Home
The artist releases, Temporary Home, from, Play On. Co-writer, Maloy:
Carrie had had this thought that, I believe, she read about in a book that life is a temporary home. I think it’s an amazing song and feel pretty proud to be a part of the writing process for a song like that. I hear so many people talk about how they were so touched by it. I had messages on my e-mail, Facebook and Twitter saying, ‘This song helped me get through something traumatic.’ I think the song is great and is a beautiful three-part story about how [everything is] OK; this is just temporary, and you’ll get through it.
Cowboy Casanova
The artist releases, Cowboy Cassanova, from her album, Play On.
I think to every woman, this song would be telling a story about someone they know or met or has tried to pick them up in a bar. There’s definitely guys in my past, even if it was a friend’s boyfriend or something.We’re not trashing this guy; we’re just warning these other girls about him. Who knows, maybe now people can listen to this song and better identify these men. I’m helping women around the world!

Last Name

I met a guy at an after-party and asked him his last name 3 times, but it never stuck. He got my number, we talked a few times, and I didn’t know what his last name was. I was way past the point where I should have known his last name, and if I asked him, I knew it would offend him.
All-American Girl
The artist releases, All-American Girl, from, Carnival Ride.
Years ago I got together with a voice coach briefly and I hated it, because I felt like they tried to change things that, like, would make me me, you know? There’s been a lot of growth over the past two years. I think I sound different now. I’ve gotten a lot more practice and everything’s just gotten easier. Like, notes that I could barely hit for the first album – like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is gonna kill me’ – are a piece of cake now. We’re on to new notes now that are way in the stratosphere. On All-American Girl, the high note is the highest I’ve ever hit.
So Small

A feeling song on how people invest so much of their time and energy into things that aren’t really important. And you don’t really realize that until it’s too late. We’re all guilty of it, as I know I am, of just letting silly things get in the way. The smallest thing can almost ruin my day, and at some point, I realize, ‘Good gracious, Carrie! What are you doing?’ I have a great life, and we need to remember the things that are truly important.

I remember at that time – because that was right after Idol – we [were] on the road, and then I get this song,” she recalled. “I [thought], ‘People are going to hate me for singing this song.’ They’re gonna be like, ‘Oh my gosh, we can’t listen to her album. She’s bad, and I can’t let my children listen to this.’ Finally I was just like, ‘You know what? I like this song. I would turn this song up on the radio, so I’m just gonna go for it.
Jesus Take the Wheel
Underwood releases a single from her album, Some Hearts. She says that this is the song for which she’d like to be best known for:
I would pick an important one. Not Before He Cheats or Good Girl, none of that. Something that somebody can hear and it would make them feel better or help them through an important time or a tough time in their life.
