Bono is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician born in 1960 in Dublin, Ireland. He is the lead singer of the rock band U2 which he started with his schoolmates in the late 1970s. The band has won 22 Grammy Awards, which is the most of any band. In 2005, they were elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone rated them as the 22nd greatest artist in their list of the 100 Greatest Artist of All time. Bono has also worked with artists such as Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Ray Charles. He was honored as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world by Time Magazine in 2004. Bono is married to Ali Hewson and they have four children.
