Courtney Love is an American singer and songwriter born in 1964 in San Francisco, California. She is the daughter of psychotherapist Linda Carroll. Love rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Hole in 1989. The band released the albums Pretty on the Inside, Live Through This, Celebrity Skin and Nobody’s Daughter. In 2004 she released her debut solo album America’s Sweetheart. She earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Milos Forman in The People vs. Larry Flynt. Love was formerly married to late Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. They had one daughter, artist Frances Bean Cobain.
