Cowboy Jack Clement
Cowboy Jack Clement was an American singer and songwriter born in 1931 in Memphis, Tennessee. Clement was known for writing hit songs such as Ballad of a Teenage Queen, Guess Things Happen That Way, The One on the Right is on the Left and he produced Johnny Cash’s hit single Ring of Fire. He also wrote popular songs for Charley Pride, Ray Stevens, Tom Jones, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley. In 1973, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Clement died in 2013 at the age of 82 in Nashville, Tennessee. He had two children, Alison and Niles.
