Darren Goforth murdered at 47

Goforth, a deputy county sheriff in Harris County, Texas, dies after being shot multiple times in the back while filling up his car. The officer was in uniform and had stopped at a gas station near Houston about 30 minutes after attending to a routing traffic accident. Goforth is survived by his wife and two children.
