Hopper is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Motion Pictures. There to celebrate with Hopper are his friends Viggo Mortensen, Mark Canton, Laurence Fishburne, and Jack Nicholson. He thanked the city of Hollywood for the honor:
