Into the Woods

Blunt plays The Baker’s Wife, a woman who longs for a child, in this musical directed by Rob Marshall from the stage musical written by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim. The Baker and The Baker’s Wife have been cursed into a childless existence by their next door neighbor, The Witch, and go on a quest she orders in order to have the curse reversed. I think it’s the best part I’ve been given. She’s really funny, and she’s desperate and frenzied and immoral. She screws up and regrets. She’s human. She has faults. She’s bored. She’s all of the above.
