Donna Douglas dies age 82
Douglas dies at 82 from pancreatic cancer at at Baton Rouge General Hospital, near her home in Zachary, Louisiana. Douglas’ death is confirmed by her niece-in-law, Charlene Smith. Smith confirms that the actress was definitely 82 years old at the time of her death, not 81 like some sources have announced:

Cuomo dies at age 82

Edward Herrmann dies at age 71
Herrmann dies at age 71 in a New York hospital intensive care after a battle with brain cancer. Herrmann’s manager, Robbie Kass:
Edward Herrmann, besides being an accomplished actor, he was also a true gentleman and a scholar, as well as being an incredibly kind and decent man. He will be sorely missed.
One dies, more injured
One man, identified as Greek national Giorgos Doulis, is confirmed dead. The deceased passenger and his injured wife are discovered in a lifeboat emergency chute, and both are airlifted to a hospital in the southern Italian city of Brindisi. Passengers still stuck on the vessel describe harsh conditions. Many may be suffering from smoke inhalation and hypothermia. Mr. Giorgos Styliaras in an interview with Mega Channel earlier:
We are out on the deck, we have frostbite and are choking on smoke. The boat is still burning and the floors are boiling. Some are trembling and others coughing from the smoke.

11th Sierra Leone doctor dies
Dr. Victor Willoughby, 67, who tested positive for Ebola on Saturday, dies from the virus hours after an experimental drug arrived in the country for him. Dr. Brima Kargbo, the country’s chief medical officer:

Virna Lisi dies age 78

Keys, a saxophone player that toured with The Rolling Stones for more than 45 years, dies at the age of 70 at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. Keys is said to have been battling cirrhosis. The Rolling Stones statement:
The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys. Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960s. He will be greatly missed.
Phillip Hughes dies age 25
Hughes dies in hospital without regaining consciousness. Hughes had remained in an induced coma at St Vincent’s hospital after having emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. According to a statement from the Australian team doctor, Peter Brukner he was not in pain and was surrounded by his family and close friends.
As a cricket community we mourn his loss and extend our deepest sympathies to Phillip’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time. Cricket Australia kindly asks that the privacy of the Hughes family, players and staff be respected.
Ryan Knight dies age 29

40 people dead
Forty people are dead from the plague. 119 people have been diagnosed with two cases found in the densely populated capital of Antananarivo. WHO:
A national task force has been set up to manage the outbreak. The international health organization is working with the Red Cross and Madagascan health authorities to control the disease.
Mike Nichols dies age 83
Nichols dies of a heart attack at the age of 83. Nichols is survived by his wife, ABC News anchor, Diane Sawyer. ABC News president James Goldston’s statement:
