The Royal Society to debate Musk’s status

Makes Statement6 Comments

Responding to concerns from fellows about Musk’s political views, Sir Smith says in an email that the leadership of The Royal Society, which inducted Musk as a fellow in 2018, will meet to discuss his status on October 1.

You will all be aware that political polarisation and its accompanying rhetoric are increasing in Western democracie. I am sure that many of you will share my concern at the events of the last week and the growing tendency to resort to the language of violence in pursuit of political programmes that are founded upon narratives of division and simplistic stereotypes of political opponents – including, unfortunately, an address to the recent London rally from a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Pope criticizes Musk’s $1Tr pay proposal Proposal

Interview0 Comments

In his first interview since assuming the role, Pope Leo XIV criticizes Musk’s proposed $1 trillion pay package from Tesla, calling it a symbol of societal inequality, expresses concern over the growing wealth gap and its potential to incite unrest.

The value of human life, of the family, and the value of society. If we lose the sense of those values, what matters anymore? Add on top of that a couple of other factors, one which I think is very significant is the continuously wider gap between the income levels of the working class and the money that the wealthiest receive. For example, CEOs that 60 years ago might have been making four to six times more than what the workers are receiving, the last figure I saw, it’s 600 times more than what average workers are receiving. Yesterday the news that Elon Musk is going to be the first trillionaire in the world. What does that mean and what’s that about? If that is the only thing that has value anymore, then we’re in big trouble…

Tesla chair defends Musk pay package

Makes Statement0 Comments
Denholm says she has tried to imagine a Tesla without Musk and suggests shareholders wouldn’t like it—especially at this crucial moment in pivoting from being a car company to one deploying artificial intelligence through robots.

Our view is the opportunity ahead is far greater with Elon at the helm than without. You can’t say ‘I want Elon but I don’t want this bit,’ or ‘Can you dial up this bit?’ I lean into tough discussions…Sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn’t, and that’s his prerogative…I’ve never, never been worried that he hasn’t devoted enough time to Tesla, even while he was in Washington…It’s not time that I measure, it’s output.

Musk at ‘Unite The Kindom’ rally: ‘Fight back or die’

Makes Statement0 Comments

Appearing via video link, Musk talks with Robinson, urging the “Unite The Kingdom” rally in London to “fight back” or “die” as well as to change the government of the UK. The event had an estimated 110,000 attendees.

I really think that there’s got to be a change of government in Britain. You can’t – we don’t have another four years, or whenever the next election is, it’s too long…Something’s got to be done. There’s got to be a dissolution of parliament and a new vote held…My appeal is to British common sense, which is to look carefully around you and say: ‘If this continues, what world will you be living in?

This is a message to the reasonable centre, the people who ordinarily wouldn’t get involved in politics, who just want to live their lives. They don’t want that, they’re quiet, they just go about their business. My message is to them: if this continues, that violence is going to come to you, you will have no choice. You’re in a fundamental situation here. Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die, that’s the truth, I think.

A lot of the woke stuff is actually super-racist, it’s super-sexist and often it’s anti-religion, but only anti-Christian, like why anti-Christian? That’s unfair … that should be all that matters, the woke mind virus, that I call it, is against all that.

Musk criticises F-35 builders against drone swarms

Makes Statement0 Comments

Referencing a viral video of a large-scale, coordinated, drone swarms, Musk says:

Meanwhile, some idiots are still building manned fighter jets like the F-35

Followed with a series of replies to X comments :

It’s a shit design…The F-35 design was broken at the requirements level, because it was required to be too many things to too many people. This made it an expensive & complex jack of all trades, master of none. Success was never in the set of possible outcomes. And manned fighter jets are obsolete in the age of drones anyway. Will just get pilots killed.

Crewed fighter jets are an inefficient way to extend the range of missiles or drop bombs. A reusable drone can do so without all the overhead of a human pilot. And fighter jets will be shot down very quickly if the opposing force has sophisticated SAM or drones, as shown by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Fighter jets do have the advantage of helping Air Force officers get laid. Drones are much less effective in this regard .

Some US weapons systems are good, albeit overpriced, but please, in the name of all that is holy, let us stop the worst military value for money in history that is the F-35 program!

Musk responds:

Just write a description in the main post and put the link in the reply. This just stops lazy linking.

Jones thanks Musk for helping restore Infowars

Makes Statement3 Comments

Jones says Musk is helping him to stop Infowars being sold to The Onion, after Musk’s lawyers filed a notice of appearance at the bankruptcy court.

The only individual that’s done more to expose tyranny, promote liberty and team humanity, in my lifetime, who even begins to rival Donald Trump, is Elon Musk. Everything he’s done has been devastating to tyrants and corrupt institutions and has fabulously positive for freedom for the average person. So I wanted to take a moment out to thank Elon Musk. And to specifically point out that he send his lawyers to Houston in my corporate bankruptcy case.

Stallone: Trump ‘second George Washington’

Tribute0 Comments

At an America First Policy Conference at Mar-a-Lago, Stallone introduces Trump by describing the opening scene of the first Rocky film where the camera pans down from a mural of Jesus inside an old church converted into a boxing gym as the character gets punched by his opponent, with the word “Resurrection AC Club” shown in the background.

At that moment, he was a chosen person and that’s how I began the journey. Something’s gonna happen, this man is gonna go through a metamorphosis and change lives. Just like President Trump.

When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world. Because without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what? We got the second George Washington.

Yousaf: Musk has a ‘whole team trying to besmirch my reputation’

AccusationMakes Statement0 Comments

After Musk suggested he had been “racist” in his private communications, Yousaf says he checked his private messages:

It was more out of complete and utter confusion of what the heck he was talking about. A very pointed accusation that he’s trying to make, and most people who commented underneath are saying the same thing, you know, ‘Go on Elon, release his Twitter DMs’…I’m thinking, I’ve been on Twitter for a long time, have I made an off-colour joke? Have I said something in a private communication? So, I thought I better do the belt and braces thing, and as I say there was nothing there, and unsurprisingly so

And accuses Musk of targeting him:

But here is somebody who is basically saying to me by the way ‘you better watch out; I’m going to release stuff on you and it’s going to make your life hell…I am certain he has a whole team of people who are looking at any information they can gather on me and try to use it to besmirch my reputation.

Yousaf repeats his claim that Musk is a racist, with “far-right, white supremacist tendencies”.

Elon Musk could have trillions let alone billions and he wouldn’t have enough to shut me up.

We’re investigating a report passed to us by another force. The report relates to a social media post which was subsequently removed. Accused of non-crime hate incident

Accusation0 Comments

As Pearsons is getting ready to attend a Remembrance Sunday event, two police constables from Essex Police come to her door. The police inform her that she had been accused of a non-crime hate incident (NCHI) related to ‘stirring up hatred’ in a post on X a year before. When she asks which post, the constable says he is not allowed to say. When she asks who made the complaint, she is told she is not allowed to know that either.

Pearson: You can’t give me my accuser’s name?”
Police: It’s not ‘the accuser, they’re called ‘the victim’.

Pearson responds:

Today, we are commemorating hundreds of thousands of British men, most of them roughly the age you two are now, who gave their lives so that we could live in a free country, not under the jackboot of tyranny. And you, YOU come here on this sacred day… You know, those soldiers, they could never have imagined that their country, our country, the country they died for, would ever become a place where the police would turn up at the door of a person who has done nothing wrong…

Pearson accuses the police of wasting time and asks them why it has taken a year to come forward, with no response. One of the constables asks for her phone number and email address in case they needed to call her in for an interview; She gives him her email only.
