Shrek is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Motion Pictures. There to accept the award are actors Mike Myers and Antonio Banderas. DreamWorks Animation CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg honored Shrek by stating:

Louis-Dreyfus is presented with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work in the category of Television. Her name is misspelled on the star, reading “Luis Dreyfus”. Friends Andy Ackerman, Larry David, and Jason Alexander attend the affair in support of Louis-Dreyfus.
The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show business. Right when you think you’ve made it, you get knocked down. It’s an ideal metaphor for how this business works.

It’s not just a country music thing or the Grammys or anything. I think it’s more an honor for your whole career and the impact you’ve made in the world with your music. It’s something that’s going to be here forever. It’s not like one I put on the shelf at home. It’s out here for everyone else to enjoy.

When I passed the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard on my way here, I remembered being put up there for my first movie, `Goin South’ with Jack Nicholson. And I used to come here and walk along these sidewalks. It seemed like a dream and now I am here.
