Kuwait collects DNA as attack response
The government of Kuwait now requires DNA testing for all citizens and foreigners living within the country. This law was quickly imposed after the country was attacked by the Islamic State attack on one of its Mosque in its capital.
We had no way of knowing who the perpetrator was because there were no records on file for his fingerprints or his passport. We developed the idea that since we already have mandatory fingerprinting, it would be a logical step to go ahead and create a DNA database.
