Upset over Cat Daddy video release
Upton claims Richardson released the video without her consent saying the video was shot for fun, and she never thought it would be uploaded on YouTube. When asked if she stood up to Richardson:
Yes, I did. I was like, ‘That was disrespectful, you could have told me!’ Now, obviously, it’s fine.
Richardson is asked if he feels somewhat responsible for Upton’s rise to fame:
No. Kate was born a star.

Upton is named People‘s sexiest woman at the first-ever People Magazine Awards. Upton jokes to her boyfriend Justin Verlander in her acceptance speech.

0 CommentsThe model’s nude pictures will be displayed in an exhibit at The Cory Allen Contemporary Art Showroom in St. Petersburg, Fla. An artist known as XVALA is not displaying the photos themselves, but artwork created from the photos. The title of the exhibition is “No Delete”. Gallery owner Allen justifies use of the hacked photos:
This show has been in the works for about two years now. When this came out…about Jennifer Lawrence [and] Kate Upton, it was the prefect dialogue. It was about invasion of privacy—and [the artist] thought it would be the perfect time to add these as a final installment to [the collection].
The Talks interview
Upton gives an interview to The Talks. She discusses dealing with most of the world calling her a bombshell.
It’s where I’ve started and it’s what I’ve accomplished, so I’m happy about it. But the more my career grows, I think that people will see that I have a lot more to offer and a lot more to give, but I want to do it right and that’s why it’s taking me time. I’m patient about it. Now it’s out of my hands – it has kind of been rolling on its own – but at the beginning I was micromanaging every little step. For example, I felt that my agency before wasn’t helping me in the direction I wanted to go, so I approached IMG myself. I always had in my mind where I should be at a certain stage.

The Other Woman
In this romantic comedy film directed by Nick Cassavetes, Upton plays Amber – a young woman in a relationship with a married man named Mark – played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Amber joins forces with the man’s wife, played by Cameron Diez, and another mistress, played by Leslie Mann, to get even with Mark after the three discover he is seeing them all simultaneously. On working with Diez and Mann:
This is my first movie role, and these two supported me every step of the way. They made me feel so safe from Day 1. They encouraged me to mess up and try new things and they were just amazing examples.

Bobbi Brown chooses Upton as the newest face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, replacing Katie Holmes as their celebrity spokesperson.
Besides being strong and confident, she is really smart. She knows exactly who she is and who her brand is. Upton and Chmerkoskiy break up due to conflicting schedules. A source says:
They are really good friends still and speak all the time, but their schedules just made it too difficult and it fell apart. [Chmerkovskiy] has a lot of respect for her, but it just wasn’t working anymore.
Hot Pockets ad
Upton and Dogg appear in an advertisement music video for Hot Pockets, a parody of the song Just a Friend by Biz Markie.

Upton is crowned model of the year by Christie Brinkley at the 10th Style Awards in New York. Brinkley says:

on the cover of the October 2013 issue of Vanity Fair. She talks about how she didn’t always have positive remarks on her appearance.
I’m not going to name names, but one agency told me, “You’re too American, and everybody knows American women are lazy.” I was so offended! I’ve never been so offended! I was like, “You know that you’re in America, right?” And it wasn’t “American models”—it was “American women are lazy,” period! I feel like a lot of women would disagree with that. A lot!
