The Ghost of Harrenhal

Harington appears as Jon Snow in the fifth episode of the second season of Game of Thrones, The Ghost of Harrenhal. James Cosmo plays Jeor Mormont, the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Simon Armstrong plays Qhorin Halfhand, a Night’s Watch elite ranger. Beyond the Wall of Westeros, Jeor leads the Night’s Watch ranging party north to the First of the First Men, an ancient ring fort commanding a hill. They rendezvous with a ranging party led by Qhorin. Qhorin says that the tribal army of wildlings led by Mance Rayder, a renegade Night’s Watchman who has become King-Beyond-the-Wall, are strengthening. He advises sending a small party of rangers ahead to neutralize Mance’s scouts in the Skirling Pass through the Frostfang Mountains. Jon joins Qhoren’s party as they venture ahead of the main group.
