Williams appears as Arya Stark in the fourth episode of the third season of Game of Thrones, Walk of Punishment. Rory McCann plays Sandor Clegane, known as The Hound, the former kingsguard captured by the Brotherhood Without Banners bandits after deserting King’s Laning. The Brotherhood explain that they are former Stark soldiers who became trapped behind enemy lines but that they now oppose the war and fight against both the Starks and the Lannisters. They question The Hound over crimes by Lannister loyalists, many of which he says were committed by his brother, Ser Gregor Clegane. Arya responds that The Hound killed her friend, Mycah the butcher’s boy, who had fought with the then-Prince Joffrey Baratheon. The Hound says that he had no choice but to follow Joffrey’s orders, and the Brotherhood declare a trial by combat.
