Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370

Co-pilot had invited women into cockpit

11 Mar, 2014

Reports say that the flight’s co-pilot had invited female passengers into the cockpit during a 2011 flight. Jonti Roos says she and a friend were allowed to stay in the cockpit with co-pilot Fariq Ab Hamid for the duration of a recent flight from Phuket, Thailand to Kuala Lumpur. She says:

Throughout the entire flight, they [the co-pilot and crew] were talking to us and they were actually smoking throughout the flight.

Police official Khalid Abu Bakar says:

Malaysia Airlines has become aware of the allegations being made against First Officer Fariq Ab Hamid which we take very seriously. We are shocked by these allegations. We have not been able to confirm the validity of the pictures and videos of the alleged incident.
