Andreessen and Clark incorporate Mosaic Communications Corp. to market the software Andreessen produced for the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Andreessen recalls:

I thought it was obvious that everyone would want this and that they would be able to do lots of things with it. And I thought it was obvious that the technology would advance to a point where you wouldn’t need a computer science degree to do it.
