While attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champain and working for the National Center for Supercomputer Applications, Andreessen releases a point-and-click Web browser  for Unix machines.

There was this huge hole in the world because a network existed with all these people hooked up to it, and the software was 10 years behind the hardware. This is typical of the personal computer industry today.
