Beatles song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds with The Flaming Lips at the Billboard Music Awards. Cyrus kicks off the song with her vocals and is joined by The Flaming Lips lead singer Wayne Coyne. Both are dressed in tinsel embellished coats, face paint and rhinestones. Rolling Stone magazine says, Coyne and Cyrus began their friendship last year.

The Flaming Lips taught me to sing into the sadness, and that’s helped me a lot on tour.
