The Bulls win 120-66. Dunleavy scores 20 points, Gasol scores 19 points and Butler scores 16 points. Pachulia scores 8 points for the Bucks. Chicago wins series 4-2.
Dunleavy on Bucks:
They had some momentum in the series, won a couple in a row. We came out on their court and put it on them. That’s frustrating. If anybody’s been there before, that’s frustrating, and I understand that.
Coach Thibodeau on Bulls victory:
It looks a lot better when the ball goes in. The thing that you want to make sure of is, sometimes you don’t have control over when the ball goes in or doesn’t go in. If they are the right shots, you want to shoot them. You do have control over your intensity, your concentration.
It was definitely a tough battle all series. To just win like that is exactly what you needed. You go into the next series with a lot of confidence. We had to do a lot of soul searching this series.
Bucks win 92-90. Mayo scores 18 points, Dudley scores 13 points and five assists and Antetokounmpo scores ten points and eight rebounds. Butler scores 33 points, Gasol scores a double-double (16 points, ten rebounds) and Rose scores 14 points, six assists for the Bulls. Chicago leads East First Round Series 3-1.
Coach Kidd on Game 3 victory:
We thought we got better tonight. We found ourselves with a `W.
Bayless on Dudley:
I was curious. I just wanted to know, Are you going to look for this?.
Coach Thibodeau on Game 3 loss:
I’m not going to put it on that last play. There were a lot of other plays throughout the course of the game. When you turn the ball over like that you’re not going to have success.
Gasol on Bulls turnovers:
But that definitely didn’t lose us the game. Mistakes will happen – we just made too many of them throughout the game.
The Bulls win 113-106. Rose scores 34 points, Butler scores 24 points. Antetokounmpo scores 25 points and Khris Middleton scores 18 points for the Bucks. Chicago leads 3-0 the East First Round Series. Coach Thibodeau on Butler’s performance:
Jimmy set the tone for that.
Butler on Rose:
Playing with Derrick, he makes everything easier for everybody.
Middleton on Bucks loss:
We just got sloppy and stagnant.
It’s playoff basketball. I’m still trying to catch a rhythm. Sometimes I get winded. I catch a second wind and I come back good. But I can’t think about that.
Fredette comments on why he declined a pre-draft workout for the Milwaukee Bucks:
I haven’t been a huge part of making the schedule. I’ve talked to my agents a little bit. We felt like it’s probably not as good of a fit for me as these other teams. I think a lot of it’s that they have a great point guard already, a really young point guard in Brandon Jennings and a guy that they’re probably going to build their franchise around. He’s worthy of that; he’s a very good player. They drafted him high and he’s a great player in this league. We felt like it was a better fit for me in terms of these other teams.
