Blames Walker’s death on reckless driving
In response to Meadow Walker’s suit, Porsche blames reckless driving and excessive speeding for the crash that killed Walker.
As we have said before, we are saddened whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities’ reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed.
Wrongful death suit
Meadow Walker files a wrongful death suit against Porsche allege that the Porsche Carrera GT lacked safety features that could have prevented the accident or, would have allowed her father to survive the crash. She also alleges that Porsche knew that the specific car in Paul’s case had a history of instability and control issues.
[The company] failed to install its electronic stability control system, which is specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type.
The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn’t belong on the street. And we shouldn’t be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.
Announces baby name

It’s impossible to not go to work carrying 5 and 1 and the 12 years with you. This one, the process has been a bit different. We’ve been spending a lot more time tweaking as we go. We haven’t had that in the past. We were originally slated to start this project a while earlier, and it got pushed and then pushed again. And what we were up against was a pre-determined release date.

When we first made it I thought that this would be a fun journey, but I didn’t know if anyone would see it because it’s definitely not a commercial movie. It was pretty selfish; it was something I wanted to prove to myself. During filming, my agent asked me how it was going and I told him that I was telling the truth the entire time and there was only one or two times where I didn’t actually believe what I was doing and that’s when I told Eric (Heisserer, the film’s director) to scratch the take. If they don’t like this, then they don’t like me.

I think it depicts war for what it really is. These guys are now like brothers. They go off, they fight, their best friend dies right next to them. They don’t have time to cry about it, they gotta push forward…What the story’s really about is the unsung heroes, the guys that raised the first flag – all of whom were basically killed by the time that famous photograph made it back to the States.
Walker stars in Running Scared as Joey Gazelle, a low-level mafioso for the Mafia member Tommy Perello. When a drug deal goes wrong, Joey is given the gun that killed several crooked cops and told to dispose of it.
I was going home with this character every day. A girlfriend of mine came out to spend two weeks with me. She left four days into it. I was all like, ‘What?’ And she goes, ‘I see you on set, you come home. You can’t relax. You’re all twitchy and jacked up on adrenaline.’ There’s no other way to do it.
Walker plays as Jerry Shepard in Disney’s Eight Below. The film is an adventure drama set in Antarctica, where brutal cold forces two explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for survival. Shepard vows to return to rescue them.
I spent almost a month, eight to ten hours a day, just working with the dogs, prior to jumping on the principal photography bandwagon…you have to earn their respect, much like you would with riding a horse. It was important that I had a relationship with each and every one of those dogs.
Into the Blue
Walker plays Jared Cole in 2005 action film Into the Blue. Jared is among a group of divers who find themselves in trouble with a drug lord after they accidentally find the illegal cargo of a sunken airplane.
At any given time working out there in Iceland we had 300 extras. It would be really stressful and super, super tedious for just about anybody, but what blew me away was just how calm and collected Clint Eastwood was every day.

Walker plays Chris Johnson, who leads a team of present-day archaeologists who are sent back in time to rescue their professor. There’s nothing cooler than knights and swords and all that stuff. I’m just a big kid. I love the Old West, too, but I really like this stuff.

Who hasn’t dreamt about being a star player in virtually every sport, you know?…Here I was, I had the opportunity to play in front of thousands upon thousands of screaming fans, and I was the quarterback on top of it, you know?
Walker plays Skip Martin in the 1998 film Pleasantville. In the film, twins David and Jennifer are magically transported to Pleasantville, the location of a black and white 1950’s sitcom. Walker’s character has a love interest with Jennifer.
As far as preparation, I was pretty new coming into it. I consider myself really lucky…I didn’t have much experience as an actor, was pretty much out of the loop. Gary Ross, he took me in, walked me through the project and from what I hear it turned out pretty good.
