It went in and it’s just like, `You’ve got to be kidding me. That did NOT just happen’. I thought he got it off. I was getting ready for overtime. And then … you’re like, ‘Heeeeyyyy! All right! We’ll take it!’.

Carroll:

I was about to cry. I said, `Not again.’ … But the basketball gods were on our side.

Coach Wittman:

I still feel, and I know our guys feel, we should have won this series.

Gortat:

I don’t think Game 4 was really that tough, like everybody was saying it was going to be.

Pierce:

Didn’t have any letdowns.

Beal:

We have that mindset that we’re not finished. We have that mindset that we’re an elite team in this league.

My adrenaline is through the roof right now. … I’m just enjoying the moment. I love playoff basketball. I love everything about it. At this point in my career, I’m savoring these moments, because I don’t know how many more of these moments I’m going to have.

Coach Casey on Pierce:

You’re not playing against chopped liver. Paul Pierce won a championship. He knows how to play.

I thought our guys were tremendous. We shot lights out. But we got some really good looks because of our ball movement.

Beal:

This shows how deep we are as a team. We definitely want our guys healthy come playoff time, and sharp as well. I think we’re doing a great job of that.

Coach Brown:

We started the game so poorly. We subbed our first group out quickly trying to find some life, but I thought the first half defensively was just poor.

Rolling to the basket instead of floating a little bit. That was really good because he’s got great hands, he can get to the basket. That was as good (a game) probably that he’s had from the standpoint of rolling out of there.

Gortat:

They were passing me the ball. I was doing the same thing I’m doing every single game.

Coach Brown on Wizard’s Performance:

And we got jumped. I think it’s a fantastic experience for our guys. We knew this was going to be the landscape. But it’s still hard to navigate.
