I think they’re a confident group, just like we are. It’s the playoffs. I think they’ve played well really for stretches from the beginning and it’s going to be a series.

Horford:

From the beginning of the game, they had more of an edge than we did. This was a big game for them and they came out and handled their business.

Korver on Game 3:

I didn’t get any good looks early and I tried to force a couple late. I need to be better on Monday.

Brooklyn made a heck of a comeback. For our guys to keep their poise and to keep their composure and stay together and execute in some crucial moments on both ends of the court, that’s what you need going down the stretch.

Horford:

No, not at all. Our focus (was) on this game, this team. We did a good job of that. We came out and we were ready to play.

Jack:

Tonight they came out, hit us in the mouth early, but we just stayed with it. We fought, we clawed and that’s just the resilience that we have if we want to make it to that goal that we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season.

It’s not our goal. It’s just one of the things as we’re chasing our ultimate goal. Things like this can happen. It’s definitely something to be proud of.

I don’t think we were thinking about the franchise record, We were just trying to turn it up and get a sense of urgency. The playoffs are right around the corner, and we want to have a good rhythm going into it.

Coach Hornacek:

We played hard in stretches, but they kept coming, Their bench comes in there and plays just as hard. They had some energy guys, and we didn’t. In the second half, they just kept going and going.

We wanted to really give the starting group with Jeff (Teague), Kyle (Korver), DeMarre (Carroll) and Paul (Millsap) a lot of reps together and a lot of time together.

I was a little under the weather, and I felt it before the game, but I tried to give the guys everything I could.

Coach Van Gundy:

Joel is always ready to give us great defense and John hadn’t played in weeks, but when we needed him tonight, he was there to get us through the game. Caron and Tayshaun, too. This is just a great group of veterans working with a young core.
