We didn’t play that well the first three games. I didn’t think we had our edge. I think coming here and losing two kind of woke of us.

We have to forget about this one. We can’t even think about the next two games, we have to focus on this next one against Chicago. It’s as simple as that.
They do a good job of packing the paint. Showing our pick-and-roll didn’t really disrupt them in the lane.
Nets 117-80 Wizards
The Nets wins 117-80. Lopez scores 26 points and nine rebounds, Jack scores 14 points. For the Wizards, Beal scores 24 points and Gortat scores a double-double (21 points, 16 rebounds). Coach Hollins:
Well, if we don’t keep it going, we’ll be at home. If we keep it going we’ll be in the playoffs. We win out, we’re in. That’s the beauty of it. We’re not worried about anybody else.
I think it’s easy when we’re not playing out the net, allowing teams to shoot a high percentage. It allows us to flow that much better on the offensive end.
We’re trying to move up to get home court, but like I always say, it doesn’t matter if we have home court because it’s going to be tough regardless. It’s embarrasing because this is a playoff team that just flat-out beat us, and we can’t do that three games away from the playoffs.
Hawks 114-111 Nets

Brooklyn made a heck of a comeback. For our guys to keep their poise and to keep their composure and stay together and execute in some crucial moments on both ends of the court, that’s what you need going down the stretch.
No, not at all. Our focus (was) on this game, this team. We did a good job of that. We came out and we were ready to play.
Tonight they came out, hit us in the mouth early, but we just stayed with it. We fought, we clawed and that’s just the resilience that we have if we want to make it to that goal that we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season.

He’s a stubborn guy, No matter what people say about him, no matter what happens, he’s just going to stick with what he knows how to do. That’s what he’s been doing.

We’re trying to close the door on those other teams and the only way you can do that is by winning.

We’ll evaluate it and know more (Sunday) and Monday.
On referees no foul calls:
I thought he got ran over, but it was a loose ball and both guys were going after it.
I think the most important thing was the sense of urgency. It was good to see us moving the ball, doing the little things we were doing when we won 19 in a row.
They beat us. From start to finish. It was a good whipping. There’s nothing else that I can say. They dominated the game.
Nets 100-98 Knicks
The Nets wins 100-98 against the Knicks. Williams scores 26 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, Lopez scores 18 points. Bargani scores 22 points, Early scores 14 points for the Knicks. Williams:
We’re just finding ways to win ballgames. We start off great and have some lulls. Tonight we had two, but at the end we buckled down and did what we had to do to win.
D-Will got a good look. He was being aggressive like he had been all night. I was right there around the rim and just tried to keep it alive.
It’s tough, but we kind of put ourselves in a hole earlier in the game, It wasn’t just that last play.
Nets 111-106 Pacers
The Nets beat the Pacers 111-106. Lopez has a double-double (24 points and 11 rebounds), Johnson scores 21 points. Hill scores 28 points for the Pacers. Coach Vogel:
We’ve got a game tomorrow night. There’s plenty of basketball still to be played.
It’s just a mentality, I guess, sense of urgency. Realizing we have a chance to make these playoffs and we’re just trying to make a push.
We’ve just got to bring it more and take away the loss and how bad it feels.
Signs 10-day contract
The Nets sign Robinson to a 10-day contract.
I Can’t Breathe shirts
James, Garnett, Irving, and Williams wear the black shirts with white text during the pre-game warmups for the Nets-Cavs clash, after Bulls guard Derrick Rose wore the same shirt in a Saturday pre-game warmup in solidarity for Garner. Nets guard Jarrett Jack, who played for the Cavs last season and says he supplied the Cavs players with the shirts after he heard James was looking for them:
I just heard people’s opinion on the topic, and I know [the Cavaliers] are on the road, this is the place where it happened, so if they wanted to be a part of the cause or make a statement without actually necessarily saying any words, I definitely extended the invitation…I know us as a team we’re gonna go out and try to make a stance and show that we’re a team that’s not with prejudice. We want to have tolerance for everybody.
Knicks 99-92 Nets
Linsanity begins as Lin has a breakout game in a win against the Nets, dropping 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. Lin has hardly been a factor in the NBA, and was even recently sent to the D-League. However, Coach D’Antoni gives him a chance to run the offense:
I had my doubts, but we just stayed with it and he has some of the qualities that we needed.
This night, it just hasn’t really sunk in yet to be honest. It’s like I’m still kind of in shock about everything that happened but I’m just trying to soak it all in right now.
