To me it was, I just got to find the human in this. I have to get rid of the resonance, get rid of the allegory. All of these things that the movie may add up to. I just got to find this bloke.

Fallon and Russell Crowe perform the Johnny Cash classic, Folsom Prison Blues. Fallon plays the harmonica, while Crowe sings and plays the guitar.

I had a great time working with Colin. I think he was very focused and very serious on bringing out all the aspects of his character.

Broken City

I didn’t like the character in the stage show. I didn’t respond to it at all, I just thought it was ugly simplistic…. I couldn’t follow why he came to the conclusions that he came to.

Hollywood Walk of Fame
Crowe is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of Motion Pictures. Jay Leno, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Snoop Dogg, and Sam Worthington attend the ceremony to honor Crowe and his accomplishments.
I’ve turned it down a number of times before because I didn’t think I’d done enough. But now I sort of got to the point where gee whiz if I don’t say yes soon, they’ll probably stop asking so I might as well get it done.

I really didn’t want to do it. Then I read it, and there was a sequence in the film where it just hit me and I got the goose bumps and I just went, ‘okay.’

A lot of actors complain and winge and do everything to avoid actually getting on with the work. So it’s nice when you’re working with someone like Russell where you can just get to the point.

But hopefully it helps us open our hearts, gives us a little more understanding, gives us a little more compassion, and also, hopefully it gives us the belief that in our lives something extraordinary can always happen.
