Rock of Ages

Cruise plays Stacee Jaxx in this musical directed by Adam Shankman. Jaxx is brought in to save and help revive a club that is in danger of being closed down due to lack of funds along with being the target of a crusade from the Mayor’s wife, Patricia.  Co-starring Alec Baldwin, Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta Jones and Paul Giamatti.

[The character is] a slave to rock and roll. When he’s onstage, he gives it everything. Off it, he’s looking for soulful moments in odd ways, and that’s where the comedy comes in.
