When you’ve got a group of guys that works as hard and is as committed as our group has been. It’s nice to see some of those guys get an opportunity to play. We did have a chance in these last two games to actually see those young men and give them a chance to play. When players play hard, it’s easy to play them.

Cotton:

Opportunities like this don’t come along too often. And I wanted to go out there and make the most of this opportunity.

Coach Carslisle:

In the end we gave up too many rebounds and we had too many turnovers. Those were all possession plays and that stuff all added up and it hurt us.

‘Legendary’

Tribute0 Comments

Mourning Hundley’s death, Miller gives this statement:

Hot Rod was the voice of the Utah Jazz for 35 years and his voice was synonymous with Jazz radio. The expressions he used throughout the game broadcasts are legendary. He had the unique ability to make the game come to life so that you felt as though you could see what was happening on the floor when listening to him call the games…Rod was a very special talent and will be missed by our family as well as Jazz fans everywhere. Our thoughts and condolences are with the Hundley family.

Lin starts his first game in his NBA career. He scores a career-high 28 points along with 8 assists to lead the Knicks to victory, despite missing their two all-stars Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. Lin:

Basketball’s so fun when you play on a team where people want to work together and work through tough times and overcome them and have victories like this. This one was ugly and we lost a couple of players, but this team has a lot of will.
