Co-starring Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Penn Blagdley and Leighton Meester.
It is a crazy and completely insane business. I’ll go to an event…and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal.

Co-starring Blake Livley, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick.
I’m proud to be part of a show that’s kind of redefining what it means to be a hit show with today’s younger generation that is very media-savvy.
Ender’s Game
Butterfield plays, Ender Wiggins, a young initiative at the International Fleet’s academy for the gifted in this thriller directed by Gavin Hood based on the book by Orson Scott Card, where he must help in the ongoing war between worlds while discovering himself and his giftedness. Co-starring Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis, and Abigail Breslin.
I just love Sci-Fi, I love all sorts of retro Sci-Fi, all of that stuff. I read the book [Ender’s Game] and I loved it.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Gambon replaces the late Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore, Hogwarts’ headmaster, in this adventure film directed by Alfonso Cuaron based on the book by J.K. Rowling. Dumbledore tries his best to keep his students safe while aiding the Ministry of Magic in locating an escapee from Azkaban by allowing Dementors on campus. Co-starring Robbie Coltrane, Dan Radcliffe, and Maggie Smith.

I’ve always played bad people or funny people. I’ve never really played such a nice person in my life, certainly not for 10 years. So that was a really nice departure for me, and I still get sort of goggle-eyed 10-year-olds staring at me in supermarkets. It’s quite odd, really.

Phelps plays George Weasley, Fred’s twin, in this action film directed by David Yates based on the book by J.K. Rowling, where he tries his best to have fun during his last year at Hogwarts while preparing for the possibility of war that looms in the not-so-distant future. Co-starring James Phelps, Rupert Grint, and Dan Radcliffe.
[At Leavesden Studios], Rupert Grint and my brother [James] and I would hang out at the driving range downstairs quite a bit. I mean, I say driving range, but it was a mat and a 150-yard cone at the other end. Golf was one of the only sports we were allowed to do in our contract because it was relatively quite safe. We couldn’t do any contact sports.

McCroy plays Narcissa Malfoy, the in this drama directed by David Yates based on the book by J.K. Rowling, whose main goal is to protect her son as he proceeds in his task, selected by Lord Voldemort, while a silent yet nevertheless present war rages on. Thewlis plays Professor Lupin, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in this adventure film directed by Alfonso Cuaron based on the book by J.K. Rowling. Lupin tries his best to teach his students while a criminal is on the loose, all the while trying to guard his dangerous secret. Co-starring Michael Gambon, Dan Radcliffe, and Emma Watson.
The werewolf transformation scene [in Prisoner of Azkaban] was a standout for me, because as a child, I’d always pretend to turn into a werewolf. It was a little uncomfortable and annoying with all of that makeup, but it was well worth it to have a werewolf scene under my belt.

Phelps plays Fred Weasley, a mischievous but friendly brother to Ron in this fantasy directed by Chris Columbus based on the book by J.K. Rowling. Fred tries to get a laugh out of everyone, despite the suspicious events surrounding Hogwarts in his third year. Co-starring Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe, Oliver Phelps.
[My twin brother Oliver and I] actually didn’t find out who was going to play Fred Weasley and who was going to play George Weasley until the read-through. We had the scripts and everything. I honestly did prefer Fred, and that’s how it turned out.

Bonham Carter plays Bellatrix Lestrange, a dangerous and devout follower of Lord Voldemort in this drama directed by David Yates based on the book by J.K. Rowling, where she has to help her fellow Death Eaters defend Lord Voldemort while the wizarding world is divided by war. Co-starring Helen McCroy, Ralph Fiennes, and Dan Radcliffe. McCroy:
Helena and Jason and I were all sitting in the same row at the premiere of [Deathly Hallows — Part 1]. When the end credits came up, there was silence in our row because they’d cut most of our parts. Helena was like, ‘Do you want a drink?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I want a double!’ [Laughs] But it’s not frustrating because all you care about is if it’s a good story.

I met Jo at the read-through on the first day. She seemed like somebody who had been elected pope but didn’t want to be. She’s a shy lady. She had written these books, but she wasn’t [yet] a household name and didn’t want to be. And all of a sudden all these actors she had seen in movies and TV for years were all looking at her.

I was an obsessive fan of the books and movies. I remember the day [director] David Yates phoned the house and said I’d be doing a screen test with Daniel Radcliffe. I was pretending to be like, ‘Yup, that’s fine.’ And I was freaking out inside.

You tend to shoot for months and get cut out of most of the movie. But this last time I learned to stick my head very close to one of the three — you know, Emma or Daniel or Rupert. I was always saying, ‘I’m not going to be cut out this time!’ It’s self-preservation in the Potter films.

In the second film,there was a shot where I had to hitch my trouser legs up to show I’m not wearing socks, and at 12 my legs were way too hairy, and they said, ‘Nobody’s going to believe any 12-year-old would have that much hair’, so they had to shave two inches up from my ankle.

Chris [Columbus] wisely kept me away from [Daniel, Emma, and Rupert] before our first scene together. So in that sense, the first person they met was Gilderoy Lockhart.

It was very confusing, and very overwhelming, and yet also really, really exciting.
