William Jefferson Blythe III is born in Hope, Arkansas to Virginia Cassidy Blythe and William Jefferson Blythe, Jr. His father dies in a car accident before he is born. Clinton spends some of his childhood growing up with his grandparents, who were strict yet instilled in him the importance of education.
