Pachauri steps down as the leader of the U.N.’s expert panel on climate change amid allegations of sexual harassment. He is being investigated in India after a woman accused him of sexually harassing her while they worked together at The Energy Resources Institute.

Gardner plans to resigns from the company in order to serve, with her husband, a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Gardner and her husband are assigned to the Hawaii Honolulu Mission.

CEO replaced
McDonald’s announces that Don Thompson is leaving the company. Steve Easterbrook will take over as company president and chief executive officer. Thompson feels that Easterbrook is a good choice to succeed him:

Bush resigns from all corporate and non-profits board positions in preparation for 2016 presidential run. He is also reviewing is position in other businesses in which he is principal partner or owner. Spokeswoman:

Resigns from board
Cosby resigns from Temple University’s board of trustees. He had been on the board for more than 32 years. According to a statement released by the university, Cosby stated:
I have always wanted to do what would be in the best interests of the university and its students. As a result, I have tendered my resignation from the Temple University Board of Trustees.
Steps down as Scottish First Minister
Salmond steps down as Scotland votes to remain a part of the UK. He announces he will not be seeking reelection as leader of the SNP party at the party conference in November.
I am immensely proud of the campaign that Yes Scotland fought and particularly of the 1.6m voters who rallied to that cause. We lost the referendum vote but Scotland can still carry the political initiative. For me as leader my time is nearly over but for Scotland the campaign continues and the dream shall never die.

With more than twenty years under his belt, di Montezemolo is leaving the job this fall as a result of poor performance. The CEO of Ferrari’s parent company, Fiat, Sergio Marchionne is set to take his place.

Resignation
Obama accepts McChrystal’s resignation after summoning the general to the White House. McChrystal releases a statement saying he is stepping down out of
a desire to see the mission succeed.
Obama says Americans should be grateful for McChrystal’s time in uniform. Referring to the Rolling Stone profile of the general by Michael Hastings, Obama adds:
