Daniels talks about the early days of TNA:
I had a great time, man. I think that the one thing, like I said, there were guys that had never really had that opportunity, at the WWE or in WCW, to sort of, get their names known. So we were out there and they just sort of gave us that opportunity, especially with guys in the X Division. They wanted to sort of get that buzz about the company and get the word of mouth going. That was one of the things, man, guys like AJ and Low Ki and Red and Jerry Lynn and me and Elix. We were making, we were sort of the water cooler talk of wrestling.

The Talks interview
Chastain gives an interview to The Talks. She discusses whether she fear failure and being broke.
What I would do is I would have no money and I’d say, “Okay, I’m going to do this film in four months. I’m going to prepare for this film and I’m not going to take another job.” So I lived completely on credit – not an intelligent way to do it! – while working on the role and then when I got paid I would pay off my credit cards. That was the cycle that I was going through.

I was heartbroken when I read her story, and I felt a deep sense of sympathy. I felt so sorry for her. I realized then that I had a lot of work to do in order to be able to actually play her. Because playing – seeing someone sympathetically is a judgment of their situation rather than an advocacy for where they are and what they’re fighting for. So I had my work cut out for me, but I had a gut reaction to her.

The match as far as me beating CM Punk that’s– that’s something everybody’s going to have to get used to. Me taking down a lot of the top superstars, on my own. As far as cracks in The Shield–you know I don’t see it as a “weak link” type thing.

I almost cried this was the most star struck moment I’ve had in my life. “He comes out, he gets to the podium and he goes, ‘Hey good evening everybody, thank you for coming.’ And he goes, ‘Hey, Kev! You made it!’ He didn’t even call me Kevin he nicknamed me! The president had a nickname for me! I couldn’t breath for a second by far the best moment I have in my life.

This was just something I was doing for the fans, it’s not a first single or anything like that. I was back in New York and I always had this idea I’m wrapping up my album right now, we’re almost finished and over Christmas I was like, ‘I’m going to relax. I’m not going to do anything. I’m just going to chill.’ But I always had this idea to go back with this one specific song called “Same Girl” and to go back to the Bronx, to my old neighborhood, walk around and kind of like film what happens the song is about getting back to your roots and remembering where you’re from.

I’ve been in the music industry for 24 years and with God’s grace I’ll be in it until I take my last breath. And I don’t think a speed bump in the road will stop me from doing what I love.It’s not cancer. When you look at the big scheme of things, it’s not cancer.
On technology changes in the music industry he sees: albums released solely as apps; unprecedented data harvesting; more African Americans in Silicon Valley; concert holograms; massively bigger audiences; and the perpetually online, engaged digital star.
Everybody should be nervous. With the music industry we’ve always had technological change, whether it was disruption from eight-track to cassette, or cassette to CD, CD to download, download to streaming. The difference now is how fast it’s happening. We’re seeing new technology pop up every few months like this [snaps fingers]. I sit on the edge of my seat. I try to live around the corner just to get a sneak peak, to have some sense of what’s happening. The industry [needs] to be very aware, concerned and curious about everything on the way.
Gaga has done a phenomenal job building this huge digital fanbase – fans who became activists for her and will fight battles on her behalf. At the height of rock’n’roll it was about mailing lists. One of the early jobs I did was opening Will [Smith]’s fan mail. Now all that’s been replaced by tweets and social media. So you’ve always had that connection. But now you can reach people in real time…I’m very bullish about this new generation of artists. They’re digital natives. They’re starting their careers online.
Carter says he has a tiny digital footprint. For work he uses Path, which limits contacts to 150, and uses Facebook just for family. He doesn’t tweet.
Twitter is much more public and I don’t have that many clever things to say.

I’m really excited about it because it’s the first time I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of an animated movie. And with two small children all we do every night, especially in Utah because there’s not a lot to do, is watch animated movies with our daughters. Like, it’s our family time so I thought, ‘This is going to be great!’ I can actually sit down with my kids and watch one of mine that was a big reason why I wanted to [do the film].

We’re both from the Caribbean, so I always thought we had this common ground and this song is pretty reggae, but it also has that rock attitude that I think Rihanna has, so that’s why I thought she was the natural choice for collaboration on this record, but I also thought it was a little bit of a challenge to get her to record this track because she’s so busy. I honestly thought it’d never happen, but I said, ‘I’m going to send it to her and see what happens.’ And she heard the record and she loved it and she said she was on board and I was the happiest girl alive!

Well it was very educational, not when I wanted the education. You know a little awkward for sure. Learning proper terms for things that most people wouldn’t even know what that means. Probably about 14 we had the talk. She would talk to me about stuff. She would slip it in like the middle of a conversation and I would be like, “Mom!” and run away.

We did an episode what was done completely in silence with sign language. Everything was silent there wasn’t ever anything done in the history of television like this.

Gooding is interviewed by Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. They talk about how he met Hall on Coming To America and a missing scene that was cut.
That was my first role ever and I had a scene in the movie. I wasn’t an actor getting his hair cut to practice on negro, I had a scene!
