Cornette appears on Insise the Ropes to discuss AJ Styles leaving TNA and the WWE championship.

AJ is a great kid personally as well as professionally. Very talented. He’s been with the company for 11 or 12 years since the company started. I can understand exactly where he’s coming from. From what I’ve read, they wanna resign him for either the same or less money.

Costello speaks about being an angry young man earlier in his music career:

I went to quite some lengths a number of years ago—30 years ago now, nearly—to dismantle the initial character that was sort of a contrivance between my naturally inappropriate appearance for the job of rock ‘n’ roll singer and, to be honest, my natural reticence and shyness.

Tavis Smiley interview

Huston discusses her new memoir, A Story Lately Told: Coming of Age in Ireland, London, and New York, detailing her early years growing up in a famous family in this interview for PBS.

I think – and that’s any help that I can get that may be people outside my family. I was always reticent about taking offerings from my father, and I think it was maybe because I felt the caveat was that I had to give something back, and I didn’t like that position.

Will Ferrell interview

Interview0 Comments

Seacrest interviews Ferrell during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his film Anchorman 2.

It’s finally here, I have been promoting this since 2012. No, it’s been great. We’ve gotten to do a lot of left of center stuff. To get out and kind of do a lot of the stuff in character has been an absolute blast.

Origin interview

Interview0 Comments

Harrelson is interviewed by Origin magazine, where he discusses his new paper company Prairie Pulp and Paper, upcoming films and give his wife’s recipe for Painted Fruit.

As a forest lover, it’s very exciting for me. After climbing the Golden Gate Bridge and protesting the destruction of the ancient redwoods in Northern California, I came to realize that protesting does no good. If you stop them here, they cut over there. Since half of all trees cut go to making paper, the only meaningful way to address destruction of our forest is to change the way paper is made. We now have a company called Prairie Pulp and Paper. We are making a brand of paper called Step Forward, which is eighty percent non-wood, is made from wheat, and costs the same as recycled paper. We’re planning to have a mill within three years, at which time we will be able to make tree-free paper that will cost less than heavily-subsidized tree-based paper. Exciting times!

Meagan Good interview

Williams interviews Good during and episode of The Wendy Williams Show and asks her questions about her fashion style, her role in the film AnchorMan, and what she thinks of the public’s comments on revealing red carpet clothing.

A lot of the backlash has come from the Christian community. But there is no me and them there is only us and where all part of the same community. At the end of the day I think that for me, I grew up in this business. Since I was 13 I have been walking the red carpet so what I may view as appropriate someone else may feel differently and I think that’s okay.

Miami Herald interview

Interview0 Comments

Natalya speaks to The Miami Herald about strong female characters in the WWE.

Women, we call the shots, whether it’s your mother, wife, even in my relationship , my better half knows that Nattie calls the shots. In WWE, Stephanie McMahon, I would vote for her to be President of the United States. She is beautiful, intimidating and endearing, all at the same time. Women are taking over in WWE.

Plagiarism apology

Apology0 Comments

LaBeouf issues a string of apologies to Clowes for the admitted plagiarism. The apologetic tweets begin sincere with:

Im embarrassed that I failed to credit @danielclowes for his original graphic novella Justin M. Damiano, which served as my inspiration. I was truly moved by his piece of work & I knew that it would make a poignant & relevant short. I apologize to all who assumed I wrote it.

As the online accusations continue, LaBeouf’s tweets begin to show signs of frustration and sarcasm, many of which contain plagiarized content themselves.  The most recent tweet contains a photo of an airborne apology, written in the sky by an airplane that was hired by the actor to say “I am sorry Daniel Clowes.”

Plagiarism accusation

Accusation0 Comments

Clowes accuses LaBeouf of illegally borrowing from his 2007 comic, Justin M. Damiano.  The plagiarism went unnoticed until LaBeouf’s short film, Howard Cantour.com, debuted online.  Fantagraphics Books Inc., Clowes publisher, calls the film “a complete rip-off,” and that the novelist was never approached by LaBeouf to authorize an adaptation.  In an interview with Buzzfeed, Clowes says:

The first I ever heard of the film was this morning when someone sent me a link. I’ve never spoken to or met Mr. LaBeouf.  I’ve never even seen one of his films that I can recall — and I was shocked, to say the least, when I saw that he took the script and even many of the visuals from a very personal story I did six or seven years ago and passed it off as his own work. I actually can’t imagine what was going through his mind.

In response to the accusation, the short film is blocked from view on Vimeo yet continues to be available on BuzzFeed in its entirety.

Ring Rust Radio interview

Interview0 Comments

Aries speaks to Ring Rust Radio  about the X-Division title, AJ Styles and his future in TNA.

My responsibility is to just go out there and do whatever I’m asked to do to the best of my ability, I don’t put any extra pressure on myself. I don’t necessarily get rubs from championships; I’d like to feel the championship gets a rub off of me.

NDTV.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Angle speaks to NDTV.com about Steve Austin and people calling wrestling “fake”.

If one calls it fake, then it’s an insult to the commitment of a pro wrestler. It is (an insult if you call it fake). It is rather pre-determined. We both know who the winners are going to be. It is one of the barbaric form of athletics I have done.

RCWR interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy speaks to RCWR  about his advice to TNA wrestling’s creative team.

The first thing I would say to TNA is with your story telling and the personas and characters you are are telling stories for TV, be sophisticated. Make sure there’s continuity in every story you’re telling because the viewers are more intelligent in 2013 than they’ve ever been. There is so much information accessible to everyone who watches wrestling on TV. You can go online, you can Google anything. You can find out everything. So when you’re on there and you’re portraying a story of these two characters that are wrestling and ultimately it is good vs evil, you know, it is bad vs the hero and in this era of golden TV with shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, whatever the show is, wrestling repeats are bad which is good storytelling.
