Film removed from festival
Organizers of the NYC Porn Film Festival remove Cyrus’ film Tongue Tied from its line-up. Festival founder Simon Leahy:
We have removed any mention of (the) Miley Cyrus… film across all our media platforms…. We hoped the film (would be) screened alongside great artists such as Amalia Ulman, Bradford Kessler, Richard Kern, Beth B, James Franco, Narcissister, (and) would create a bigger discourse around art, sexuality, gender and pornography.

Bangerz NBC Special
The Bangerz NBC tour special brings in only 2 million viewers at the end of the holiday weekend. Advertised as the event of the summer, the ratings are much lower than expected with only one network show having fewer views.
