Cyrus releases the single, Wrecking Ball, from her album, Bangerz. The video is directed by Terry Richardson and shows Cyrus naked, sitting on a fake wrecking ball.

I think the video is much more, if people get past the point that I’m naked and you actually look at me you can tell that I actually look more broken then even the song sounds. The song is a pop ballad. It’s one of these songs that everyone is going to relate to, everyone has felt that feeling at one point.

I have an accent! So when I say ‘Miley,’ it must sound like Molly. You’re not allowed to say Molly on the radio, so it obviously says Miley. I knew people were gonna wonder what I’m saying in that song.

People refer to [cocaine] as ‘Miley Cyrus’. My name is used in hip-hop songs to mean that, so even if I’m saying ‘Miley,’ people could still find something wrong with it.

I’m a completely different person than when I released 2008’s Breakout. I’m much more confident. You know, I’ve always been a confident person, but I was going through a lot then,There’s so many people in your life telling you who you should and shouldn’t be. And that’s what Tamed is about. It’s about being who you are to the fullest. And now I know who that is.
