They signed with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Records after being formed and finishing third in the seventh series of British television singing competition The X Factor in 2010.

Break for solo work

One Direction plan an extended break as the members work separately on different projects. One Direction will promote their latest album until February and released the official music video of their single, Drag Me Down before their extended break.

They are taking a hiatus so they can work on individual projects for a while but they are not splitting up
