Efron, Rodriguez break up
Efron and Rodriguez break up. They broke up after having a fight in Ibiza, Spain. A source says:
Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her. He’s very into her though, and perhaps more than she’s into him.
Neighbors
Efron stars in this comedy directed by Nicholas Stoller. He plays Teddy Sanders, the hard-partying head of the college fraternity, Delta Psi Beta. He and his frat brothers move to a house in the suburbs, right next to a married couple played by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. They end up clashing because of the ruckus caused by the fraternity’s constant partying. The cast includes Dave Franco, Ike Barinholtz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. On some of the film’s funniest lines:
A lot of improv. There was a big safety net, though. We’ve got some of the most talented writers out there, sort of shouting really ridiculous lines at you, and if you just kind of stopped thinking and say it, it’s cool.

It’s really tough. I feel like I’m in the trenches with them. It’s really hard because I respect these people so much. And they are some of the smartest people I’ve ever met. And they struggle more than I can even comprehend with the problem at hand—the dichotomy—the challenge of making good movies and making movies that people want to watch. And right now, being me, I personally know which ones I want to be in. I feel like the other way. S–t, I feel like I can be effective in one.
Zac Efron interview
Seacrest interviews Efron during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his film That Awkward Moment.
It’s from a guys point of view that you’ve never really got to see before. And we kind of reveal what’s going on in our heads and it’s hilarious. It’s brutally honest and I think it’s really funny.
That Awkward Moment
Efron co-produces and stars in this romantic comedy directed by Tom Gormican. He plays Jason, one of three roommates who make a pact to remain single in support of their friend going through a divorce. All three of them eventually fail at keeping their promise when they fall in love. He co-stars with Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, and Imogen Poots.
Jason is a bit more of a player than I am. I am not as cavalier or as suave. I am not so much of a smooth player. But I know that guy. I know that guy really well. And I have had moments where I have dipped into him in real life and wake up from that and say, “Wow, that was a different guy.” I’ve had moments like Jason, and kind of made that character out of those experiences and people I knew and made him. I think the most similar thing about us is what happens at the end — that he learns that being there for your friends when it’s most important is what makes a friend.

It’s not that I’m opposed to doing a big-budget action movie. But it has to be the right project. I don’t know that I’ve earned the right to hold a gun, if that makes sense. I need to pay my dues.

Bathe in pussy? Yeah, I think a lot of guys would enjoy that. Believe me. I rack my brain thinking, ‘Why am I not out there playing the field?’ One of my buddies was like, ‘You have no idea what’s going on. You’re peaking on ecstasy and watching TV.’ But that’s not in my heart.

I start to think, ‘Am I missing out on something?’ I’m not in school at the moment, so I tend to overcompensate by trying to learn as much as I can about everything else, and by tackling life full-on. I’m just soaking up everything I can. I’d like to see the whole world.

We talked the whole game, and he was just everything I thought he would be: Smart, levelheaded, charming, hilarious. You know, the older-brother vibe. That sounds so cheesy.

At that point it was inconceivable. I had no idea that anyone could ever care. That happens to, like, big stars. I woke up and my dad told me that I was in a newspaper on the beach—he made fun of me, he said I was ‘frollicking.’
