Trump denies Apprentice report
Trump denies a CNN report that said he would continue to work on The Apprentice while he is president.
Reports by @CNN that I will be working on The Apprentice during my Presidency, even part time, are ridiculous & untrue – FAKE NEWS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 10, 2016
I have NOTHING to do with The Apprentice except for fact that I conceived it with Mark B & have a big stake in it. Will devote ZERO TIME!

Holds gun policy town hall
Obama speaks with gun owners at a televised town hall meeting hosted by CNN. The president explained his measures to make legal products safer, akin to child-proof medicine caps, and sought to reassure gun owners that no one was coming for their property. The NRA chose not to participate. The American Firearms Retailers Association was involved with the meeting. On gun registration:
That’s an area where there’s just not enough national consensus at this stage to even consider it. And part of it is is people’s concern that that becomes a prelude to taking people’s guns away…Part of the challenge of this is that the gun debate gets wrapped up in broader debates about whether the federal government is oppressive and there are conspiracy theories floating around the Internet these days all the time.
Asks CNN to donate debate profits to veterans’ charities
In a letter to CNN president Zucker, Trump asks for the company to donate the profits from the next GOP presidential debate to charities benefitting veterans. He says he will send Zucker a list of veterans’ groups that he feels should receive the profits from the September 16 broadcast. Trump cites news that CNN is charging as much as $200,000 for a 30-second ad during the debate — 40 times the usual price.
You should view the second debate broadcast as a public service and not accept the massive profits that this airing will generate. While I refuse to brag, and as you know very well, this tremendous increase in viewer interest and advertising is due 100% to ‘Donald J. Trump’…The veterans of our country, our finest people, have been treated horribly by our government and its ‘all talk and no action’ politicians. In fact, some would say they are treated like third class citizens — even worse, in many cases, than illegal immigrants.
Will participate in CNN debate
CNN changes its rules so that Fiorina can participate in the second GOP debate on September 16. The original rules discounted Fiorina because the average of polls conducted between July 16 and Sept. 10 minimized the significant rise in Fiorina’s numbers since her performance of the first non-prime-time “undercard” debate of longshot contenders.
CNN interview
Johnson, friend of deceased teenager Brown speaks about the funeral, police brutality, the false police report and his friendship with Brown:
He was a good friend, never spoke down about anybody, didn’t really tease anybody about being smaller than him because he was bigger than a lot of people we were around. He was a real good friend he didn’t like to see other people down.
AC 360 interview
Brown’s parents, McSpadden and Brown Sr. speak with Cooper about the tragic shooting death of their son. They confirm their confidence with the Ferguson justice system, voice their opinions on a grand jury decision and involving the Federal government. McSpadden:
Even if this hadn’t happened people ridicule each other anyway, but he was a teenager, he was growing up, he was only 18. He had a chance to make a mistake and correct it just like the officer, he had a choice and the officer chose the wrong one. Was it really necessary…No. My son was only 18, only 18.
Apology
CNN apologizes for Magnay’s “scum” tweet saying it was specifically referring to the crowd targeting the television crew not at Israelis in general.
Network spokesman in an email to Buzzfeed:
After being threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot, Diana reacted angrily on Twitter. She deeply regrets the language used, which was aimed directly at those who had been targeting our crew.
State of the Union interview
Cosby speaks about the Trayvon Martin case, owning a gun and racism.
How are you going to solve a race issue when it becomes he said she said OR he said, he said. What is solved by saying he’s a racist?
