The Raptors win 106-99. Gortat scores a double-double (24 points, 13 rebounds), Wall scores a double-double ( 19 points, 15 assists), Pierce scores 18 points and Beal scores 16 points. DeRozan scores 32 points for the Raptors. Washington leads The East First Round series 3-0.
Pierce:
My adrenaline is through the roof right now. … I’m just enjoying the moment. I love playoff basketball. I love everything about it. At this point in my career, I’m savoring these moments, because I don’t know how many more of these moments I’m going to have.

Raptors 92-87 Hornets
The Raptors win 92-87. Lowry scores 26 points, Valanciunas scores 18 points and DeRozan scores 16 points. Daniels scores 24 points, Walker scores 17 points and Henderson scores 15 points for the Hornets. DeRozan on Pierce talks of Raptor’s playoff game:
Paul Pierce has always got to say something. He said something last year. He’s always got to say something. Just let him talk. I could care less what he says.

They’re very well coached, they have a number of ways to score and (Casey) is going to know how to prepare them defensively.

The first quarter wasn’t very good, But I thought in the second quarter we set the tone of how we want to play. We started the second quarter and finished the game doing what we wanted to do defensively.
DeRozan:
For some reason, we’ve always had bad luck against this team, especially playing here (in Charlotte). But it felt good to get a win against this team at a critical time for us.
Coach Clifford:
We just had no juice. We’re going to have to find a way to be professional. I think our team has stood for effort and purposeful play all year long, and we’re going to have to find a way to do that over these last four games.
Raptors 113-99 Timberwolves
The Raptors win 113-99 over the Timberwolves. Williams scores 18 points Derozan scores 17 points. Wiggins scores 25 points, LaVine scores 22 for the Timberwolves. Coach Saunders:
They keep on wearing you down, You try to relax a little bit and you’re a half-step slower contesting on 3s and they’re making shots. That gets you into a whirlwind.

When the ball’s moving, you can know that the ball’s going to find you. You just have to be ready. It’s always fun when the ball’s moving and you have an open shot.

We’ve got to have a defensive approach, a defensive identity with effort, with focus, each and every night we step out. Because in this league anybody can beat anybody.
