King: Conor McGregor is a racist bigot
In an op-ed in The New York Daily News, Sean King, a Black Lives Matter activist who has come under criticism from some who say he is a white person posing as a person of color, calls McGregor a bigot.
Mayweather and McGregor’s feud was fueled in part by racism. After Mayweather complained in January 2016 that McGregor got favorable treatment because he is white, McGregor responded, “don’t ever bring my race into my success again,” and wrote how Irish people have been “oppressed our entire existence.”…Leading up to his 2015 match against Brazilian fighter Jose Aldo, McGregor repeatedly resorted to disgustingly bigoted attacks. In a reference to colonialism, McGregor said, “If this was a different time, I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that was not fit to work.” McGregor later said, “What I really want to do is turn his favela into a Reebok sweatshop.” McGregor also said of Aldo, in an apparent joke targeting Latinos, “I think I’m going to have him come and clean up my airplane.”Any one of those comments should have been enough to have every mainstream company he works with drop his endorsements. Being a fighter is not a license for bigotry without consequence…In a day and age where we need principled people to speak out on racism, bigotry, and discrimination, Conor McGregor does the exact opposite, instead mainstreaming those things without consequence.
Hague left brain dead after KO
During a fight with Braidwood at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Hague is knocked out in the second round. Hague, who had a 1-2 record as a pro boxer before the fight, falls heavily to the canvas, appearing to smack his head on the mat. He is able to get back to his feet and stumble backstage, but falls seriously ill just minutes later and is rushed to hospital. Close friend and fellow MMA fighter Cody Krahn wrote:
As many of you know Tim suffered a severe knockout in his boxing match. Once we got Tim backstage and with the doctor we could tell he needed to go to the hospital. Tim is currently in a coma. He had to have surgery to relieve pressure from his brain.
Woodley to place $1000 bet on McGregor to beat Mayweather
Woodley says he is going to put $1000 on McGregor to beat Mayweather.
To be honest, me and Conor ain’t really seen eye to eye on a lot of things. In the end I still really want to scrap him. But I’m betting on Conor [Because] I bet a grand, I win 6500 bucks. I bet two grand, get 13 grand. This is freaking combat sports, anybody got a chance. So I’m willing to lose for the chance to win… I don’t think he’s gonna win, but if he prove me wrong then I, at least, want to cash in on it.

They want you to think that Kanye just needed a break from fame and Hollywood, [but] he also wanted a break from Kim and his life with her. They’re on different paths and don’t connect anymore. He feels like she isn’t worldly or interested in experiencing other cultures. They’re trying to make it work…but there are a lot of problems between them. It’s an ongoing struggle…He’s not back to himself since the hospitalization. He doesn’t want to put himself in a situation where he’s taking on too much.

Garbrandt-Dillashaw choke video released
Video is released of Garbrandt’s altercation with Dillashaw during filming of The Ultimate Fighter. As two cast members go through their weight cuts to get ready to fight each other, words are exchanged between the two fighters in a hallway, and Garbrandt steps up to defend his fighter. Garbrandt:
You’re fake as f-ck, you know you are.
Dillashaw:
He called me fake, then attacked me. I think it all bleeds down to just insecurity. Cody’s not very smart, he doesn’t have anything that he can say that is witty. He feels like he needs to create drama to be important.
