McGregor says he is delighted Rousey is joining WWE.
I’m delighted for her, absolutely over the moon for her. She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event, and I was very, very happy to see her. She’s a pioneer for the game, and she’s came through it all and faced big wins, and big, big losses. And she came through it. And it’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in WWE.
Report: Rousey training for pro wrestling career
According to Fightful.com, which cites WWE sources, the company:
referred Rousey … to current superstar Brian Kendrick for training purposes in Southern California.
Rousey, who has been known as a major fan of pro wrestling, was also spotted speaking with WWE executive Triple H at a taping for the Mae Young Classic, the company’s all-female tournament. She was ostensibly on hand to cheer for her friend Shayna Baszler, a former UFC fighter competing in the tournament, but her presence sparked renewed speculation that she herself might be close to joining the action. There was also buzz backstage at the tournament — mainly among WWE employees and contractors — that Rousey’s training would start soon,” Fightful reported. “She’s taken some basic bumps among other things thus far.
Johnson to Rousey: ‘You got your ass beat, grow the f-ck up’
When Johnson is asked about his winning streak and the possibility of losing, he brings up Rousey.

Rousey and Browne say they are engaged. Browne proposed with a square diamond ring under a waterfall in New Zealand about a week ago. No date has been set for the wedding. The couple have been dating since 2015.

White not expecting Rousey to return to UFC
At the UFC 210 post-fight media scrum, White says he is not expecting Rousey to return to the UFC.
Ronda and I talk maybe once a week, once every two weeks. She has not said anything to me about a comeback…If I had to guess, I would guess that she would not come back.

Rousey to appear on Blindspot
Rousey will appear in an upcoming episode of Blindspot on NBC, which airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. Rousey is set to appear in episode 200, scheduled to air in early May. It is Rousey’s first acting role since she scored a non-speaking part in Drunk History on Comedy Central in 2016. She will be playing Devon Penberthy, a female prison inmate who grew up in a working class family from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and is serving time for transporting weapons across state lines. Holm doesn’t think she ‘broke’ Rousey
Holm is asked about her win’s effect on Rousey:
I’m one of those that, I’m a firm believer in the fact that once a fighter, always a fighter. She might not ever want to fight again. She might not fight for two years, and then she might say, ‘You know what? I’m really egging for it. I want to get back in there, I really want to fight. She’s doing great and she’s in a good place. For me, I have a fight Feb. 19 and that’s all that matters. I don’t know [Rousey’s fighting future]. Her and I haven’t really had that talk. That’s going to be her decision she has got to make. Honestly, I don’t know. When the time comes, she’s going to do it her way. That’s what people that support her I think will appreciate. She’ll do it like she did everything else: Her way.
Nunes issues public apology to Rousey

Let me take a moment to explain myself. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline, emotion and hurt at the time. I held so much in during the weeks prior to my fight with Ronda. White: Rousey is ‘probably done’ fighting
White says Rousey will probably not fight again.
In the conversation I had with her, if I had to say right here right now – again I don’t like saying right here right now because it’s up to her – but I would’t say she fights again. I think she’s probably done. She’s going to ride off into the sunset and start living her life outside of fighting…And then once she lost, she started to say to herself, ‘What the f*ck am I doing? This is my whole life. This is it? I want to experience and start doing other things.’ And I think that’s what she started to do, and she’s got a lot of money. She’s never going to need money again….I’m happy for her. She came in and changed the world. She put female fighting on the map. She’s been part of the biggest fights in the history of women’s fighting, and I hope those records can be broken. I don’t know if they can, but I hope they do.
Pena: Rousey threatened to sue sparring partners ‘for a million dollars’
Pena says Rousey threatened to sue her sparring partners if any of them leaked information about her training methods, and also has a clause blocking her partners from hitting her during the training sessions.
She’s not allowed to get hit in sparring. These girls have to sign these waivers to say that ‘We never hit Ronda, and we’ll never talk about this type of training ever and all this stuff, you know? She’s not really taking the toll in the fight camp of getting punched in the face legitimately so she doesn’t really know what that feels like. She’s a superstar and they don’t want to see her get any damage. So, it’s like whenever the girls would go hard on her, whenever they’d come forward and start banging it out on her, they’d tell them, ‘Hey. Knock it off. Stop it. Don’t hit her so hard and then sign this waiver and say that you were never here and that you never punched her. Don’t ever talk about how well you did in training and stuff like that because you have to sign this dotted line or else we’ll sue you for a million dollars.

I think she’s one of those athletes that gets that attention and all eyes are on her. So I think she definitely has the background, and she’s got the base to build on, so she’s got a great foundation.

TMZ reports that Rousey and Macias had visited the Dakota Access Pipeline protests. The celebrities brought fresh fruit, veggies, bread, tents and wood-burning stoves to the protest site in North Dakota.

McGregor, Rousey biggest part of 2016 record UFC PPV views
McGregor and Rousey drew the biggest pay-per-view buys in a record year for the UFC. Approximately 8,370,000 buys were sold on 13 shows in 2016, an all-time record average of 644,000 buys per show. This compares with 550,000 average per show in 2015 and 265,000 in 2014. Most shows were small but McGregor, Rousey, and UFC 200 did one million buys plus. With Rousey’s future undetermined, and McGregor taking a break, the outlook for 2017 is weak.
Nunes: Rousey can come back
Nunes, speaking of her own experience in past defeats, says Rousey can come back.
I already passed this moment in my career. It’s harder to lose but if you be strong, you’ll be able to come back like I did. Make some changes, adjust. The passion in her life, the family has to be with her. The base is very important. Make some changes in her camp, move to another gym and come back strong.
She also says she was surprised Rousey continued to trade blows with her.

Mayweather: I’ll coach Rousey if she’s willing

Rousey has previously criticized Mayweather over domestic violence. Mayweather also talks about spending $250,000 in a jewelers, and investing.

Rogan: Rousey likely won’t return to fighting

I don’t think she is [going to fight again]. Amanda Nunes is a very, very dangerous puncher. She kicks and punches so f-cking hard, and she has long arms. She puts you on the end of those long punches, and she dinged Ronda very early in the fight, and you could tell she was rocked…If she does, she should come back in a calculated manner. Don’t just rush in and fight for the title like she did. I think that’s crazy. Taking a year off taking a head kick getting knocked out – where’s your head at? Was she 100 percent committed to this as far as training for the entire time off, or did she just get in really good shape over the last few months and had she been training at all before then? You’d have to ask her and answer all those questions, but if she doesn’t want to be fighting, she shouldn’t be fighting.
