I say ‘ You alright?’ then I realize not only is the kid drowning but the father is drowning. So now I have to make a decision.

De Mornay is interviewed by Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. They talk about how she had to fit into a corset, her love of the way the men looked in medieval times, and being friends after a relationship.
It’s outdated because marriage was once for women to be protected and for men to take care of them. Women to take care of the house. Then on the other hand it’s not outdated at all, it’s like a spiritual union that everyone is looking for.

Cast of Living Single Fields Alexandra, Coles and Latifah are interviewed by Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. They talk about their new show Living Single and the opportunities Fox is giving African-American shows. Latifah comments:
Just shows that you haven’t seen constantly over and over again redone. They give new risky, what is considered a risk ’cause it’s not patterned after every other show. They are more inclined to give those types of shows an opportunity.

Finding his Irish Identity
Music writer, Jon Savage, sits down for an extended interview with Cobain. Cobain had often expressed an interest in his lineage. In the interview, Cobain recalls:
I didn’t even know until this year that the name Cobain was Irish. I found out through different phonebooks throughout America. I couldn’t find any Cobains so I started calling Coburns and found this lady in San Francisco and she had been researching our family history. And it came from County Cork, which is a weird coincidence, because when we toured we played in Cork and the entire day I walked around in a daze. I’d never felt more spiritual in my life. I was almost in tears the whole day. It was the weirdest thing.
Helen Hunt interview
Hunt is interviewed by Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. They talk about her fear of snakes and chimpanzees, her role as a rookie cop, and how people think she looks like Jodie Foster.
I had to show this guy my drivers license in order to get out of the storm. I had to swear I wasn’t her.
VH1 Interview
Jackson talks about his obsession with perfection when it comes to creating music, the premiere of Ghosts and the creation of A Stranger in Moscow, the disgust he feels with tabloid media. He also talks about the real Billie Jean and what inspired the song when he was younger while on tour with his brothers.
Some of the songs I remember getting upset with the songwriters because I wanted to sing it one way and they wanted me to sing it another way and I would call Berry Gordy who is the chairman and owner of the company. He would say “Look let Michael do what he wants, I’m sure he’s right.” So that happened several times.
Sheila E interview
Sheila E is interviewed by Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. They talk about how she was challenged to do Patti Labelle’s song. and promoting her jazz album Droppin’ like flies.
We’re (Prince and I) gonna work off and on together probably, I like playing with him but right now I want to concentrate on doing my own solo thing for awhile.

Jackson is interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. They talk about Jackson’s collaboration with Slash on Give in to me, Jackson’s fascination with animals, claims that Jackson wanted to be the only candidate to singing for President Clinton’s inauguration. Jackson also highlights what he would like to be remembered for by his fans and right now in his present life.
I love what I do and I would love people to love what I do and to be loved. I just simply want to be loved wherever I go because all over the world…because I love people of all races from my heart with true affection.

Winfrey talks with Jackson’s about his vision to create short films from music videos, reactions to fans globally when to his presence and performance, belief in spirituality and human purpose. Jackson also talks to Winfrey how he hopes this interview will teach the audience around the world not to believe what the media has said about him or others.

Winfrey talks with Jackson about the origin of the title “The King of Pop”, his feeling about romance, relationships and marriage, the type of women that he prefers, his crush on Diana Ross when he was a child. Elizabeth Taylor, Jackson’s close friend, also joins the interview and talks about his warm personality.
I would feel that my life is not complete if I do not (marry). ‘Cause I adore the family life, I adore children and I adore that whole thing. I would love to. That’s one of my dreams but I couldn’t right now because I’m married to my work. I’m married to my music and it has to be that closeness in order to do the kind of work that I wanna do.

Winfrey asks Jackson about his strained relationship with his father and his forgiveness, the lies that the media has created and exploited, the idea of having a Caucasian boy play him in a Pepsi commercial. Jackson also reminds people to stay away from judging or gossiping about people after listening to the media, unless they have spoken to the source of the gossip.
Why do people buy these papers and it’s not the truth? I’m here to say, you know…do not judge a person, do not pass judgement on anyone unless you have talked them one on one. I don’t care what the story is.

They talk about the alienation from childhood that Jackson felt as a young man who was always working, relationship with his family and time together, Latoya’s book and if any disgust is felt about how she ridiculed the family. They also talk about the awkwardness Jackson felt through adolescence.
That is why I think now, because I didn’t have it then, I compensate for that. People wonder why I always have children around me. I find the thing that I never had through them. You know Disneyland, amusement parks, arcade games. I adore all that stuff because when I was little it was always, work, work, work.
