It’s amazing how it all comes together. That’s why I believe my wrestling career was my destiny. The first time I ever saw wrestling, I saw it live. We used to sneak into the side door and watch there giants demolishing each other and I was captivated.

They (TNA) came and told me, “Anything else you wanna do, we’ll get behind you and give you a schedule to still do what you wanna do.” And that was the deal breaker for me.

One of the things that attracted me to TNA and why I chose to go there was that they did want to do somewhat of a reset and wanted to bring in fresh faces create new younger stars.
Porter gives his thoughts about his TNA debut in Glasgow, Scotland:
It was spectacular, it was exasperating to have been away for so long and to come back and receive the reception that I did was humbling. The fans remembered me and they were glad to have me back. The whole tour was awesome, after Glasgow we did Manchester and London and it reminded me of why I love it so much.
Porter talks about his most important moments in WWE:
I have so many but I would definitely have to say my very first WrestleMania wrestling the late Chris Benoit who was one of my in-ring idols, talk about surreal – a guy I used to watch on tape for years and then being on the biggest show in the biggest company standing across the ring from the guy I idolized. Wrestling Ric Flair at Madison Square Garden at the Royal Rumble was another career highlight and I’ve been fortunate to have quite a few but those two really stand out.

I asked for my release and John Laurinitis was so nice about it. He gave me my release. I said, “I don’t wanna be here. I wanna tour Japan.” So they gave it to me and now I’m in Japan, having the time of my life.
