Brussels police detain 21
Hundreds of Belgian police launch more raids in a bid to find Abdeslamin, in the Brussels districts of Molenbeek, home to many of the Paris attackers, and other boroughs. Three raids were carried out in Charleroi. 21 people are detained. Police fire two shots at a car that approached them as they searched a snack bar in Molenbeek. The vehicle escapes but is stopped later in Brussels, and a wounded person inside is arrested. It is not known if the person is linked to the investigation into the Paris attacks.

While the band is now home safe, we are horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France. Our thoughts and hearts are first and foremost with our brother Nick Alexander, our record company comrades Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser, and Manu Perez, and all the friends and fans whose lives were taken in Paris, as well as their friends, families, and loved ones..Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion. We would like to thank the French police, the FBI, the U.S. and French State Departments, and especially all those at ground zero with us who helped each other as best they could during this unimaginable ordeal, proving once again that love overshadows evil. Says guns would have stopped Paris attack

And by the way, France is — France and Paris is one of the strictest in the world with guns. Those people were sitting there with no guns whatsoever — hundreds of people. There wasn’t a gun in the room except for the bad guys. Had there been some guys carrying a .45, had there been some guys with a gun, there would have been a shootout and probably the primary people that got whacked would have been the killers. So, you know you can say what you want about all of these people that preach guns but France, you can’t get any tougher than peace or any tougher that were France. These people walk into a room with hundreds and hundreds of people not a gun in the room except the bad guys. And they just said, ‘Come here – boom, come here — boom.’ They just shot these people at will for a long period of time and killed them and had there been other people carrying weapons, you would have had a lot different story, believe me.
Declares war on ISIS

Prosecutor: 129 dead, 352 injured
The Paris Prosecutor says that 129 people were killed and 352 injured in the attacks. 99 people are in critical condition. At least one American was killed in the attacks. He also says three teams of attackers coordinated the attacks, and that the Bataclan group mentioned Syria and Iraq during the attacks. One suspect is identified as a 30-year-old French citizen, and one suicide attacker, identified by a Syrian passport found near his body at the national stadium, was not known to French intelligence services. All the suicide attackers wore identical explosive vests.
Three arrests in Belgium
Belgian police arrest several suspects in the Molenbeek neighbourhood of Brussels on Saturday during raids connected to the Paris attacks, including one who was in the French capital at the time of the attacks. One of the vehicles used in Friday’s attacks in the French capital was registered in Belgium and hired by a French national living in Belgium. Prime Minister Michel:
A case has immediately been opened linked to suspect vehicles in Paris, to check people linked to those vehicles. There have been several arrests.
ISIS claims responsibility
The Islamic State claims responsibility for the attacks.

Allah had granted our brothers their wish and gave them what they loved, for they detonated their belts in the gatherings of the disbelievers after running out of ammunition, we ask Allah to accept them among the martyrs and make us follow them.
Let France and those who walk in its path know that they will remain on the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State, and that the smell of death will never leave their noses as long as they lead the convoy of the Crusader campaign, and dare to curse our Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, and are proud of fighting Islam in France and striking the Muslims in the land of the Caliphate with their planes, which did not help them at all in the streets of Paris and its rotten alleys. This attack is the first of the storm and a warning to those who wish to learn.
Eight terrorsits dead, seven by suicide
The prosecutor’s office says eight of the attackers are dead, seven of them in suicide bombings. The eighth attacker was killed by security forces when they raided the Bataclan concert hall where the assailants had taken hostages. They warn that it is possible that there are terrorists still at large.
Police: 153 dead
Police say that 153 people have died in the attacks. 112 killed at Bataclan venue; 14 at Petit Cambodge restaurant; 19 outside La Belle Epuipe bar; 4 on Ave de le République 4 outside stadium.

To all those who have seen these awful things, I want to say we are going to lead a war which will be pitiless. Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow.
Two gunmen killed at the Bataclan
Officials say two gunmen are killed after the police operation at the Bataclan concert hall ends. Police say 100 people are dead inside. One official described “carnage” inside the building, saying the attackers had tossed explosives at the hostages.
Declares State of Emergency
Hollande declares a State of Emergency and closes France’s borders.
As I speak, terrorist attacks of unprecedented proportions are underway in the Paris area. There are dozens killed, there are many injured. It is a horror. We have, on my decision, mobilised all forces possible to neutralise the terrorists and make all concerned areas safe. I have also asked for military reinforcements. They are currently in the Paris area, to ensure that no new attack can take place. I have also called a cabinet meeting that will be held in a few minutes. Two decisions will be taken: a state of emergency will be declared, which means that some places will be closed, traffic may be banned , and there will also be searches which may be decided throughout Ile de France (greater Paris). The state of emergency will be proclaimed throughout the territory (of France). The second decision I have made is to close the borders. We must ensure that no one enters to commit any crimes and that those who have committed the crimes that we have unfortunately seen can also be arrested if they should leave the territory. What the terrorists want is to scare us and fill us with dread. There is indeed reason to be afraid. There is dread, but in the face of this dread, there is a nation that knows how to defend itself, that knows how to mobilise its forces and, once again, will defeat the terrorists.
Obama: attacks ‘Heartbreaking’
President Obama comments on the Paris attacks, saying he has not spoken to French President Francois Hollande but would shortly.
Once again we’ve seen an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians. This is an attack not just on Paris and not just on people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share. The president He said his team is was still gathering information and he didn’t want to speculate about who might be responsible. [We will do whatever is necessary] to bring these terrorists to justice, and to go after any terrorist networks that go after our people. The French people have stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States time and again. And we want to be very clear that we stand together with them in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Stade de France evacuated
Multiple explosions are heard near the Stade de France, where President Hollande is watching international friendly football match between France and Germany. Hollande is evacuated from the building. Following the game, fans are moved onto the pitch to await evacuation.

Stade de France double suicide bombing
Attackers commit a double suicide bombing outside of France’s national stadium. The first attacker is discovered wearing an explosives vest when he is being frisked at the entrance to the stadium about 15 minutes into the game. While attempting to back away from security, the attacker detonated the vest, which is loaded with explosives and bolts. Around three minutes later, a second person also blows himself up outside the stadium. A third suicide attacker detonates explosives at a nearby McDonald’s. One civilian dies in the attacks.

The band are on stage at Bataclan Music Hall when the gunmen come in through the back of the hall. Hughes escapes ia the backstage. Hughes is at a Paris police station.
Gunmen enter Bataclan Music Hall
The gunmen enter the Bataclan Music Hall, in the 11th arrondissement, where Eagles of Death Metal are playing to an audience of 1000 people. They start shooting into the crowd from the balcony. About 100 hostages are taken. According to witnesses, some men try to bargain with the gunmen to let their wives leave the theater. Witness:
I have seen two terrorists, from my point of view, with AK-47 Kalashnikovs entering the concert room and firing randomly into the crowd. People yelled, screamed, and everybody lay on the floor. It lasted for 10 minutes, 10 minutes, 10 horrific minutes when everybody was on the floor covering their heads and we heard so many gunshots, and the terrorists were very calm, very determined, and they reloaded three or four times their weapons. They didn’t shout anything, they didn’t say anything. They were wearing black clothes and they were shooting at people on the floor, executing them. I was luckily at the top of the stage, on the front of the stage.
