It could be, yeah. Our contract is up at eight (seasons). When you first do a pilot in hopes that goes into a show they make you sign a seven year contract. Then when we renegotiated about halfway through they tacked on another year. So, we had an eight year contract, and this is that eighth season. If we end up doing a ninth season, which would be super rad, then they just sort of have to renegotiate that and figure it all out. I feel like the shows as strong as it’s been and that we, the cast, are getting along as well as we ever have. It seems like a kind of dream job, so it’s one I would love to do for a long time.

It’s just been awesome. It’s been super fun. I didn’t know what was going to happen when I went in the studio and I couldn’t have asked for a more positive, more loving atmosphere to release an album into. And I’ve had fun performing and being with my baby, and my man. It’s just been really good right now. I’ve never had a such warm reception. I was talking to Carey (Hart) about it the day before and he was like, “Baby, it’s awesome it only took you 12 years to get people to like you.” I’m like, “That’s true. And you know what, baby? It only took me 9 years to get you to like me.” So, it’s all worked out, I guess.

It was over a year ago when I went on to co-host. I had met Kelly a long time ago, years ago. But being on the show was the first time I really got to interact with her. Instantly, she is so easy to get along with for everybody. She had 59 total guest hosts come on that show over the last nine months, which is hard to change up and really guide 59 people through the show. She had a connection with everybody. Fortunate for me ours seemed to come through.

When we released it in the UK, which was a while ago it was the 6th or 7th single from my album. So, it was kind of at the point where I was ready to write a new album anyway. So, I didn’t put much into it, then all of a sudden it was like ‘Lights’ is on the radio a lot in the US and that was it, it started it rolling.
