Drew Barrymore interview
Seacrest interviews Barrymore during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions about her role in the film Blended.
It had been like three years since I made a movie because I needed to take time off to create my family but I got back to work with my cinematic soul mate Adam Sandler and we made this film called Blended and it comes out Memorial Day, and I just couldn’t be more proud and excited about this film. I think it’s as good as the films we’ve made. And it’s where Adam and I are at in life. It’s about kids. It’s about family. But it’s really, really funny and then it sneaks up and pulls at your heart strings and gets the emotions going.
Katy Perry interview
Seacrest interviews Perry during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her pre-show rituals.
You know, I wake up. I sometimes throw myself on a massage table, get massaged from the previous night where I had to do a two hour show and then I go and work out and I stretch and I kick. And then I do a warm up and then I go to rehearsal and then I basically get ready for the show. I mean when it’s show day, it is all dedicated to the show. There is nothing else that’s more important. So, I’m very focused.
Julia Roberts interview
Seacrest interviews Roberts during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about how she found out she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the film August: Osage County.
I was stirring. I get up pretty early, but it was one of those things where I went to turn off my alarm clock before it went off and I saw my cellphone light up that someone was calling, so it was a nice way to start the day.
Cameron Diaz interview
Seacrest interviews Diaz during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks her for a tip from her book, The Body Book.
Food day, It’s a day I cook all the good food for the rest of the week. If you eat the proper food all day long you can have those little bits of what people consider a cheat.
Harry Connick Jr. interview
Seacrest interviews Connick Jr. during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his new job as a judge on American Idol.
I’m really excited, you know, I’ve been watching the show since the first season, I’m such a fan. It’s so fun to be up on the judges panel it feels like a fresh, energized take. It seems like it’s going to be a really great year and this talent is off the hook.
Kevin Hart interview
Seacrest interviews Hart during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his experiance meeting President Barack Obama.
He comes out, he gets to the podium and he goes, ‘Hey good evening everybody, thank you for coming.’ And he goes, ‘Hey, Kev! You made it!’ He didn’t even call me Kevin—he nicknamed me! The president had a nickname for me! I couldn’t breath for a second by far the best moment I have in my life.
Kevin Hart interview
Seacrest interviews Hart during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about what it was like meeting President Obama.
I almost cried this was the most star struck moment I’ve had in my life. “He comes out, he gets to the podium and he goes, ‘Hey good evening everybody, thank you for coming.’ And he goes, ‘Hey, Kev! You made it!’ He didn’t even call me Kevin he nicknamed me! The president had a nickname for me! I couldn’t breath for a second by far the best moment I have in my life.
Jennifer Lopez interview
Seacrest interviews Lopez during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her single Same Girl.
This was just something I was doing for the fans, it’s not a first single or anything like that. I was back in New York and I always had this idea I’m wrapping up my album right now, we’re almost finished and over Christmas I was like, ‘I’m going to relax. I’m not going to do anything. I’m just going to chill.’ But I always had this idea to go back with this one specific song called “Same Girl” and to go back to the Bronx, to my old neighborhood, walk around and kind of like film what happens the song is about getting back to your roots and remembering where you’re from.
Tyler Posey interview
Seacrest interviews Posey during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his role on the TV show Teen Wolf.
Scott is kind of connected [Kira] to her because she’s like this outcast new kid and that’s what Scott was the first season. And she sits behind him in class which is kind of Scott’s thing because Allison sat behind him in class the first time they met.
Katherine Heigl interview
Seacrest interviews Heigl during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her role in the film The Nut Job.
I’m really excited about it because it’s the first time I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of an animated movie. And with two small children all we do every night, especially in Utah because there’s not a lot to do, is watch animated movies with our daughters. Like, it’s our family time so I thought, ‘This is going to be great!’ I can actually sit down with my kids and watch one of mine that was a big reason why I wanted to [do the film].
Shakira interview
Seacrest interviews Shakira during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her collaboration with Rihanna.
We’re both from the Caribbean, so I always thought we had this common ground and this song is pretty reggae, but it also has that rock attitude that I think Rihanna has, so that’s why I thought she was the natural choice for collaboration on this record, but I also thought it was a little bit of a challenge to get her to record this track because she’s so busy. I honestly thought it’d never happen, but I said, ‘I’m going to send it to her and see what happens.’ And she heard the record and she loved it and she said she was on board and I was the happiest girl alive!
Macklemore interview
Seacrest interviews Macklemore during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about why he thinks he shouldn’t win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
In terms of [that category], I think it should go to Kendrick. He’s family. TDE is family, and I understand why Hip-Hop would feel like Kendrick got robbed [if he didn’t win]. I’m not trying to compare albums; I think you can make an argument for both. With that being said, I am a huge supporter of what Kendrick does. And because of that, I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album.
Kellan Lutz interview
Seacrest interviews Lutz during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks him if he and Miley Cyrus are dating.
Are we dating? No, we’re friends. I love hanging out with Miley. She’s a public figure, one of my friends that is a public figure, so anytime two public figures are single and they’re seen anywhere it’s like, ‘Oh! Dating rumors lets start those.

My New Year’s resolution is to eat more carbs, workout less and fry my brain with more television. Who’s in?
Will Ferrell interview
Seacrest interviews Ferrell during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about bringing his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy to real news stations.
That might be the most satisfying because that’s an idea I had when the original Anchorman came out. But everyone thought it was crazy back then. But to actually read the news with the local news time while they tried to keep from laughing is a highlight of my career.
Ben Stiller interview
Seacrest interviews Stiller during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
I just loved, first of all, the tone of the story. It wasn’t one genre [it’s a comedy and an adventure] Walter has to step out of reality it’s a story about self discovery and it felt to me like something I can connect with. I hadn’t directed a movie on that world or tone, so it was kind of strange because I’m so used to straight-up comedies.
Will Ferrell interview
Seacrest interviews Ferrell during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his film Anchorman 2.
It’s finally here, I have been promoting this since 2012. No, it’s been great. We’ve gotten to do a lot of left of center stuff. To get out and kind of do a lot of the stuff in character has been an absolute blast.
Tyler Perry interview
Seacrest interviews Perry during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about directing his film A Madea Christmas dressed as the character Madea.
I have to. There are moments when I’m actually standing there directing in the costume and I’m talking in my normal baritone voice with this wig and lipstick on. By now, my team gets it, but when I have a new actor, like Larry the Cable Guy, he goes, ‘What the hell is going on with this guy?’ It was pretty funny.
R. Kelly interview
Seacrest interviews R. Kelly during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his album Black Panties.
I did 362 songs for the Black Panties album, and it took me about a month [to choose]. The hardest task of the whole project was breaking down what songs we were gonna do.
Miley Cyrus interview
Seacrest interviews Cyrus during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about her Valentines Day plans.
My first show is in Vancouver on Valentine’s Day. I didn’t want to have to deal with finding a Valentine so I’m going to work on Valentine’s Day which is going to be rad.
